News and Events / Re: The Drawbridges - New mini coming soon
« on: November 26, 2023, 04:30:48 PM »
Sorry to hear that... As we were discussing this heavily on Discord, it seems we forgot to give a big warning here in a separate topic... :'(

HiG commented all this on their website and their newsletter...

Once the order is placed you could only try to reach hem out by email, but it seems some other people had the same issue and during the initial rush hours, Cundco wouldn't change those orders.

You could try though... Maybe you are luckier than them...  :-\

I'll just wait it out, I don't think it'll be gone for next year's purchase. And joined the Discord! Must have missed that, doesn't hurt to be able to chat with you lovely folk more.

Oh man! I have been checking these forums thinking the Spiel tile but usually we make a new thread. I just put in a order, hopefully since its only been a few days I still get one. I don't think it would allow me to use the voucher if they were out?

Got drawbridges, Monasteries, Spell Circles and Wonders of Humanity.  :(y) Meeple flags were going to be too expensive, one year! Fprgot about The School though, adding it to my reminder for next year.

I'm sure it was just an automated email, but thank you to the staff at CarcCentral for the birthday wishes yesterday.

They drew that AT the festival? Wow thats so detailed and cool! I kind of like the Giant taking over the field rules but excited to see what ideas come about

No news yet, and I wouldn't hold my breath  :o
ZMG have not been the fastest with new releases, and Im not expecting them to bring this one out tbh. It was a limited release in Germany that got a wider release now, but no news from any other publisher making this in a localised version. A lot of publishers have made the winter edition, and have stopped making them for a while now

-face turns blue from holding breath-

I am patient in the wait.. I prefer having english editions, I even went the more expensive english castle and got the falcon printed instead of the more affordable Zamek edition. I guess I will have too keep my eye out on a cheap english of the old version and buy then sell a german edition for the river tiles.

What made this different for other publishers to not localize it? H&G got picked up and both have been out of print for a similar time. This still released under Carcassonne unlike Zamek (at-least I don't think its no longer connected?).

Has there been any news on an English release for this edition? My Gingerbread man and Crop circles are lonely.

From what I understand going through the thread, this was a special limited release though it got a wider release from HIG and Asmodee DE this year so it feels more possible now.

Hmmm, I would likely go with Hansa Teutonica by Andreas Steding for my No2 pick. Though Tokaido could end up taking that slot as well depending on the day.

Interesting.. not a fan of cooperative elements that I've played so far but of-course I'll be picking this up.

Now do I pick up the anniversary edition as well to match with this when its used as an expansion along with getting the anniversary expansion. Also facing that dilemma with the old art to pick up the old art expansions that don't have a C2 version.

Mine arrived Thursday, I just got around to opening today though so my apologies. Thank you Allograft! Now to look into storage for this bad boy and hopefully pick up the other maps at some point.

That may be what I was thinking of. Just adding to the list of Spiel 14, 15, 16 and 18 I am going to have to empty a paycheck on  :'(

Shoot...

Man today has sucked. Woke up fatigued and sick. I've been stressing all day trying to get food shopping done, I can't drive so I rely on deliveries and the app broke down. I forgot to even check my computer. Now I have no food and no spiel tile. Hopefully there is a second wave.. I remember that happening before.

I am a CII player as well. I somewhat started with CI on the Xbox Arcade version, though I bought CII as that is what was available and I didn't yet know there was a difference (It was my first modern board game).

I don't regret my choice, I prefer C2's art overall. I do get the complaints that the tiles were too dark, I do love how CIII made the fields lighter again and C2.1 fixed the muddy looking cities, though besides the fields I prefer C2 still. A bit sad about some C1 stuff that won't get reprinted as I dislike the mixed look and now C2 is gone as well.

How well do the maps stay flat? Do you need to keep the corners weighted?

I hope the maps will be available on the BGG store like the USA maps eventually, or other options. I checked Cundcos shipping for the other 5 and that's one big purchase haha. You think this is a product that need to worry about getting out of stock / print any time soon?

So sorry for adding more wait time to this endeavor. Since this one seemed to be exclusive, I didn't want to miss a chance to get a copy.

I have some news for you:

* Order for members in Europe: Order sent yesterday.

Quote
We've sent the order #3 on 10/5.
The normal delivery time is about 14-18 working day(not include customs clearance outgoing and incoming), due to the Covid-19, the delivery time would be delay, so we cannot confirm the exact delivery date.

* Order for members in the USA: Quotation received for 14 maps.

Quote
14x maps$7,000, total include postage would be NTD$8340.

This represents $298,71 in total or $21,34 per map not including Customs Duties or domestic shipping. Bear in mind we were changed around €30 for the currency conversion, so this may also happen here to a certain degree.

@Allograft any hints on Customs Duties applicable?

@TheDoctor_13 If interested, please indicate the number of maps to request another quotation. I assume adding one map or two will not affect shipping.

Washington State. Just one map yeah. Sorry for the late reply, I just got online. Either way, thank you for organizing all of this
