Title: Halflings first big game with expansion 10
Post by: Halfling on January 23, 2018, 11:37:50 PM
I now have enough of the new tiles to play a big game with the following this evening with 3 colleagues after work.  I will be interested to see if we get the usual 'big top chasers' given that the 12 tiles will in theory take longer to surface with double the number of tiles.

Base Game + River I
Inns & Cathedrals
Traders & Builders
Abbey & Mayor
Under the Big Top
The Flyers
Witch & Mage
Gold Mines
Labyrinth
Festival
Phantoms

Approximately 200 tiles from memory - Match report later

Sounds like fun although I would have the ferries in there as well :). If only the people I played with liked long games :(.

Only 4 of us instead of 5 due to a meeting in London dragging Martin away from the Crawley office on Wednesday.  But a great game nonetheless taking 2 and a half hours to place the 202 tiles.

I was in second place on the scoreboard when the last tile was played but won out when all the remaining circus, meeples, trade goods and gold bars were scored.  Finding Jumbo the elephant under the final big top and scoring 21 points was fortunate.

I have the final scores on the work laptop, I'll put a fuller report together tomorrow.

That sounds like it was a great game. May your next game become even bigger  :D

I agree. The ferries are very useful in longer games, and can make them very interesting. :)
