Abbot Pieces
« on: December 20, 2015, 06:45:24 AM »
Hello all!

My wife and I love playing Carcassonne and quite like the look of new Carcassonne abbot pieces.

In order for us to get these abbot pieces (not to be confused with the abbots that meeples can become from the German & Belgian/Dutch Monasteries expansions), we would have to not only spend more money on a game that we already own (we have every expansion available), but we would have to do so twice (since we have 8 full sets of meeples, including all of the special ones).

We therefore refuse to buy these newer expansions solely for gaining a few wooden pieces and to have some sets of tiles which don't really work well with the older ones (opinions may differ)!

As such, I was wondering if any of you know where I can get my hands on some abbot pieces? Before any of you say 'Go to Cundco', it seems that they don't offer the spare parts service anymore since their website overhaul (some rarer, mini expansions are also no longer in print, which is sad news for the collector). Also, if any of you say 'Buy the new expansions', you clearly haven't followed my trail of thought and the entire purpose of this post!

Any guesses where we could get these then?

Cundco do offer a spare parts service still but I am lead to believe that they don't do the Abbot separately yet.  I got mine from someone who made them.  They are awesome.
Just lay the damn tile!

You can order abbots in the alternative colours from cundco but not in the colours which you can already get the Abbot by buying Carc 2.0 or Inns and cathedrals 2.0.

Hello, i'm new to the forum. I've read a lot on here already, including the search for abbots since i'm searching for them too. A while a go i ordered 4 extra player sets from CundCo and they have the abbots included. But as stated CundCo doesn't sell the official colours. I've been contacting all the different suppliers that i could find and voila: Board Game Extra's emailed me back that he has the 5 base game colours! When i asked what it will cost me, he emailed me back with a link to his site, he's oploaded them to his shop.

So i tought: Time to register at Carcassonne Central and share this with all the people who are looking for the abbots  ;)

This is the game, those are the rules and that is how it should be played!

I ordered them via this website

There are just no black ones, but a bit of spraypaint gives an easy fix  ;)

Great - to meet the minimum order, I have ordered 8 sets (8 of each colour, except grey - ordered 16 of those) and will offer up to 7 sets for sale when they arrive and I get half of the grey ones converted to black...
