Yes, the Princess group that I'm in looks very tough, with not only khalid but also a former World Cup winner (Carcking), another league winner (MrNumbers) and the Dragon Queen (kettlefish) as well as all the other great players.

It's just because Dan thinks highly of you and believes in your chances. Quite a compliment actually

My preference for 3 groups of 9 rather than 4 groups of 7 is based on bigger groups = more games per person + increased variety of opposition within each group. With groups of 9, everyone would get 8 games at the first stage and then 2 more at the second stage where we're all split into 9 groups of 3 depending on finishing position within initial group. 10 games per person seems like a good number.

Is there a guide or something that explains how tournaments are played? I get that every tournament is different but I'm wondering how everybody copes with the amount of games and probably the small timespan everybody has available...

Die Pest / The Plague just arrived...

I'm wondering about that small expansion. Is it worth it?

The Plague has received its fair share of criticism, so certainly there are quite a few people who don't like it. Although I must say that I'm not one of them: I think it's pretty cool. Reading the Plague thread in the Element of the Week series should give you a better idea of whether you think you'll like it.

Thanks Jungleboy, the theme itself speaks to me, so I just ordered it anyway. I like a bit of chaos  and I'm always positive when looking at mixed reviews.

-De Kloosters
-Half as wild I and II
-Burgen in Deutschland
-Printed Carcassonne storage bag
-Some extra scoring tiles

Now waiting on my order from Meeplesource (extra mayor, barn, wagon) and for some books. Today is a good day
