General / Re: CarcII Expansions Made Into CarcI Artwork?
« on: May 30, 2020, 01:46:05 PM »
Thank you all for your replies! I am one of those players who is stuck in CarC 1. My wife and I got into the game about 2015 and have loved playing it since but we refuse to buy the new artwork versions since we have all of the expansions already (including a £40 eBay purchase of The Plague).

We did buy some abbots from Cundco to use in the monasteries and are a little bit worried that some amazing game changes may come which would tempt people (like us) to buy CarC 2

General / CarcII Expansions Made Into CarcI Artwork?
« on: May 30, 2020, 08:58:39 AM »
Does anyone know if some expansions that have only been released in the new artwork (Gardens, Watchtowers and Under The Big Top) are being recreated by some artist back into the original artwork (of course, this wouldn't be an official release)?

Signed up, but not received my confirmation email to be able to activate my account. Maybe the hamster isn't spinning in his wheel yet...

While the next league doesn't start join us at the Ladder

The Ladder you say... sounds like a mysterious place!

Sorry for being away from Carcassonne Central and from competing in the mini league. I've been having a few issues and life changes lately. Anyway, I'm back! So when is the next league?

Great amount of research you have done! I never realised that different variations could be missing the watermark (I would have assumed all expansions would include one or keep those which appear on their older counterpart. I have always been baffled as to why GQ11 does also seem to have a watermark).

Also, merit for you!

It might sound silly but have you checked cundco.de or boardgameextras.co.uk?

So went back today:

You only see that face for three reasons:

1. A child gets an amazing present.
2. A woman gets a present or 'rare' bunch of flowers.
3. A man gets a new toy, such as some power tool or board game!

I suspect I, like most people here, will inevitably start polluting their tiles with Carc2 material

But fortunately we don't have to. HiG has already canonized the German player community's conversions of The Abbot and The Watchtowers, and I suspect that UtBT is not too far behind them. It's hard to think of a better reason to order a bunch of blank tiles from Cundco.

In case anyone hasn't seen the artwork yet...

This is what we want! I did try and print some tiles onto label paper but they adult peeled off and the colour looked faded. How can you make a good finish when printing tiles? Could you get a printing company to do them for you?

Hello all again!

Adrornalin 211  :yellow-meeple:
Me 72  :red-meeple:

Very bad game for me! I played my meeples all too early and ended up having all of them trapped by the end (only managed to free two due to Crop Circles).

A very well played game by Adrornalin!

That was an awesome game! I would recommend TheSteveAllen for matches for anyone wanting a good and friendly opponent!

Did anyone else notice on the website that this game apparently only takes 35 minutes to complete?

I agree with you so much in regards to the Surface 1 and 2, but Surface 3 and 4, since they include Intel software and not the obsolete Windows RT, has made greater strides and does endorse many other products. Maybe this is another example of how disjointed the products are, or maybe it is a glitch
