I got some meeples in some exciting new colours today:

I like those colors! Where'd they come from?

From my second-favourite website: meeplesource! :)

They look great! It's a pity that they don't sell complete sets with builder, mayor, pig, barn, etc. (unless I missed something).

Not yet they don't, and the sets they did sell never included the Robber or the other scoretrack meeple from The Messengers. With any luck cundco will get in on the action before long...

Hi Dan. Wow, they look great -I'd like to buy one or two from the first photo if possible. I'm thinking of trying to make a keychain, but only have the meeples that came with BB4 so no spares (or funky colours). In fact it was only last night that I was trawling through Etsy looking at things. See you on Sat then!

I've got 10 of each and will only keep 8 so make sure you're at the UK Carcassonne Central meetup this Saturday if you'd like some of my spares! :)

Oh dear! Where am I going to hide this!

I only wanted some of the promos, some have found homes already.  I'll be putting a post up later with what's available so keep an eye out.

I'm hoping it'll disappear before my wife sees it  :-[

I was chatting with Halfling in the chatroom about the expansions for the final round of the Welcome tournament and that I was tempted to buy the phantom expansion, when he kindly offered to sell me one he had spare. Well, look what arrived in the post yesterday. Many thanks Halfling.

When I got their email last week I corresponded with her a bit, asking about the other meeple shapes and ended up actually sending her a copy of the CAR.  We'll have to wait and see if that yields any Carc meeple fruit.  :blue-meeple:

I have received some nice gifts recently.

We have hosted for a few days Udo's daughter and her boyfriend. We had an enjoyable time, teaching them about kiwi culture and even watched the All Blacks beat the Springboks in the Rugby World Cup semi-final.
They gave us some nice gifts, some of them signed by Klaus-Jurgen Wrede and Doris Matthaus.
They included a copy of Uber Stock und Stein. We had a few games of it and enjoyed it, especially the new mechanic of the jogger.

They are now tripping around our country in a camper van.

Merit to you for your hospitality Andrew! Those are some excellent gifts, but I especially like the framed Spiel 2015 tile and the Bogatyr tile/ coaster/ something else. Congrats!

Definitely cool! I wonder when she plans to make her way down south. We need to plan, man! We still don't have a bed in our spare bedroom (though we plan to get one soon anyway).

Yes. I liked the framed Spiel 2015 tile as well. It looks very smart.

Having bought almost the entire collection of Descent (2nd Ed) and Dungeons'n'Dragons board games, I realised afterwards I need to invest in some serious storage box for these games. Pressed for time, this is the result, and seems to work decent enough for now. Will be a dual post, one for each game.

First one is for Descent:

This is a tackle box meant to store lures for fishing. As seen in many posts on other sites, this turned out to be quite a good (and cheap) solution. 50 Euro, including shipping for this one. Although the model is a bit different than the recommended Plano, it works. I even have a fourth storage box completely free, in case further expansion arrives or I decide to go after the Lieutenant and Hero packs expansions. Although it's a nice solution, everything under one handle, it's a heavy thing to carry arround! I'd even go as far as to say over 10 kg.

Sorry about the low quality images as high quality camera is unavailable this week.

The tackle box closed

One of the four boxes. Each box contains either the base game, 1 large expansion or 2 smaller expansions

The topside storage opens up revealing a huge area perfect for the larger board tiles, all the rules and even comes with a side box for storing even more board tiles.

The second box is even somewhat heavier and is a tool storage box with removable top section inside.

This is for my Dungeons'n'Dragons collection. I bought the four big game boxes. Although at first I kept each game separately using 2 boxes that fits inside the box, I decided to mix it up a bit to save space. This shrunk the boxes needed from 8 down to only 5, leaving ample room for all the miniatures.

2 boxes contains miniatures in separated sections inside the box along with box sections of their own for other markers and cards. The other 3 boxes are for board tiles and larger token tiles. The cards fits into deckboxes.

The storage box itself measuring 66 cm wide.

The top part that is removable contains deckboxes with cards and the larger miniatures.

Removing the top part reveals a huge area with 5 smaller boxes and all the rules and adventure scenarios as well as some of the even larger miniatures.
