I have played a couple of times and already have some questions about the rules: 1. Rules say that I can deliver wares only on one trade ship per turn. Does this applies to the situation when I complete a market and some other object in one turn? Technically I deliver wares only on one trade ship, the one for the market I have for free. So, the question is: can I still deliver wares on a trade ship in a turn when I have completed a market and have taken a trade ship for free? 2. If a complete two markets that both belong to me, in one turn, can I take two trade ships? I suppose the answer will be "yes" but still it is worth asking.

Not sure if any of the previous posts mention this (read them):
There is a downloadable PC version you can buy off many sites. Local stores here in Sweden offers this game as well (such as Webhallen).
It contains the base game and some expansions such as The River, Inns & Cathedrals and King & Scout. Features multiplayer and various difficulty AI levels.
A link below you can see some images: http://se.gamersgate.com/DD-CARCASSONNE/carcassonne
The game cost average 100 Swedish Krona which is about 15 USD or 11 Euro and is published by Deep Silver.
I have written about that game in my post. Maybe the image wasn't quite informative, but still it is the same game. Here is the better link.

Congratulations with a new family member! I'm sure that your son will be true Carcassonne master! P.S. My 6-years old son already wins about 70% of games with a computer opponent (Android). Still need to teach him correctly place farmers

Thanks for the response Fritz_Spinne
Those rules seem clear enough! To get to the gist of my misunderstanding though, it's worth remembering that under the standard rules you're not allowed to place a follower on any complete feature. But if the tile you're placing completes a feature (and it's unclaimed) then you can still take the points for it at the same time. With this in mind, I checked the CAR for any difference between this and the placement of the Mage/ Witch but couldn't find anything to suggest that it wasn't allowed...
I had the same question about another Mini - Flier (can't find it now), and with the same arguments as yours. As a result - note 373 came up, with the same answer - completed=forbidden.

As usual, when some of the followers crosses zero, we bring in/turn around 50/100 tile. We do it every time, when any follower crosses zero point. At the end of the game, we add one's points to another's and continue scoring unfinished objects and fields.

Thank you all for good words! "Of course it's strategic, the best strategy is to make sure you're the luckiest player!"
I like you signature! I think exactly lack of this strategy didn't give me to win the final game In fact, in finals I didn't make any serious mistakes, almost all fields were mine, I didn't allow to my opponent to close two big cities, but in the middle of the game I was taking only roads, 5 or 6 one by one, meanwhile my opponent was building his cities. At the end I lost with only 12 points difference. But nothing to worry about: this is my first tournament, not so bad result and next year I will try to return the favor

Latvia has got new Carcassonne champion! http://www.carcassonne.lv/2013/09/champion-2013/Unfortunately, it's not me But I am at the second place from 44 participants. I lost only two games: one in preliminary round and the finals, both to the new champion.

I have the wagon in the city with the builder. Up until now I always figured it counts as a follower even when not scoring.
Reading the rules I have from Big Box 3 it confirms your post. It does not count as a thief/follower up until scoring and thus, as the builder only can be in play with a thief/follower we have played erroneously.
Nice catch!
Wagon IS a follower! You can check out footnote Nr. 226: The RGG edition changes "figure" to "no other wagon or follower." This avoids confusion about the term "follower" but adds a distinction between "follower" and "wagon" WHICH IS NOT VALID. ...and footnote 195: The mayor and wagon ARE FOLLOWERS, subject to the usual rules of deployment and affecting the majority. So you was doing right by placing builder in a city where the only follower was the wagon.

I never thought about Carcassonne what way either. Fantastic idea! Another addition maybe 2-player game, where two players play in their own boxes challenging each other (similar to "Dr. Mario" on NES). And (again, similar to "Dr. Mario") if a player completes two features with one tile, in other player's box next tile will go without any possibility to change the place it will drop and rotating position

This is the reason why we with my wife so seldom play Carcassonne with each other. Something "bad" happens and one of us takes offence. That is why we play either with one our friends, which are VERY friendly and completely harmless (they enjoy the process much more than the result), or with our other friends, where we play in teams, men vs. women. Playing in teams doesn't hurt that much

I agree with kettlefish: it was necessary to publish this meeting report It was very interesting to know a history of creating CarcC. Maybe it is worth to create a separate section "History of Carcassonne Central" )
