I just failed the responsible adult test. Do I have to withdraw?

That's might be the only right thing to do...catwise-like.  The poor creature might be traumatised for life whenever it sees as Carcassonne tile or meeple   >:D

I hereby challenge Rosco (and his cat or other pets who might make the mistake of hanging around nearby a player of this league)

12 points.  That was the points difference between Rosco and me in the overall score in favor of Rosco before we started our game...and 12 points was the difference IN our game! (in my favor this time)

Overall, it was a very close game from start till finish.  In the end, the trade goods (which I collected in big amounts in the city in the NE) made the difference but needless to say it could have ended easily the other way.

Thank you Rosco for this great game and I wish you good luck & fun in the upcoming games!

Well the Final has now been played so, as stated, I have to draw an end to the 'Alternative World Cup'.

Unfortunately, owing to the problems that we had with JCZ, especially for the final set-up, less games were played than I imagined, but I think that all participants had a good time playing those matches that were contested.

Congratulations to Thodekey for coming out on top, and commiserations to Rosco, who was pipped at the post. Sadly, these two were the only qualifiers, probably due to not being able to play the final set-up until recently when interest had waned.  :(

Thanks Steve,
I'm pretty sure someone else would have won, if interest hadn't waned.  Nevertheless, i think it was a nice initiative to let all contenders have a taste of all rounds of the WC. So i wouldn't say no for a second edition on the WC 2018...or is it 2019?  >:D
