You're more than welcome, Dan.
It made me:
1. doubting my choice of expansion
2. persuade me that i need to turn the switch in my head for the scoring mechanism in this new kind of competition
3. i still need a lot of practice
4. enjoy a game of Carcassonne since a long while

So thank you for a game that wasn't dull at all  ;)

Good to see that you enjoyed the 'different' challenge. It is not too late to change your expansion, as I agree that the goldmines does not really add much tactically to our new format. Let me know if you want a change Thomas.

It does add more cloisters than any other expansion that springs to mind though. And that most definitely could lead to some interesting tactical decisions.

Thanks for the offer, TheSteveAllen but I'll stick to my first choice.  It's a perfect alibi when i loose  ;)
AND it adds both 4 more cloisters and 2 interesting ways to lengthen/share a long road...so i'll take the risk.
I won't be playing in Dan's (the golden hold-up) league so maybe my opponent won't snatch 13 gold bars right in front of me...  >:(

Hey! I let you keep 3 of those gold bars for yourself didn't I? If anything that was very generous of me. Next time I'm going for all of them... >:D
