I think this would be impossible. in the Dutch rules they mentioned that you never may make a U-turn. Then it's impossible to not finish the river.

And for me i will off course buy the new version. But than only the base game and any future expansions that will not be published in the old style. I have everything from the old Carcassonne and many fansansions, so if I want to play them I play the old version. The new version will start just what they say: A new era. There will be new stories to be made in a different Carcassonne world.

Quevy, many thanks for them. I was looking at your files and saw some southsea expansions. Only for Die Lagerhutten, I cannot find any rules. Are there any rules for them, or are they just extra tiles??

I just bought a new big box to put everything inside. Noe I have the base game with 52 expansions in one Big Box.

Today the news came that the new style will also appear in Holland. That's no big news, but they also published that any future expansions will only appear in the new 2.0 style.

I played a couple of times with this expansion and I must say that I really like it. Especially when playing with the phantom. You place a meeple on the castle and your phantom on one of the roads or city. Only the scoring for the roads can be different, so I clarified the rules. The player gets for every roadconnection with the castle 3 bonuspoints. So If you are making a looping road connecting two times to the castle, you will receive 6 bonuspoints.

Hopefully, there will be new fan expansions with the old style. I think that's easier to design. I also like many fan expansions, because they are my favorites to play with.

All the fanexpansions are not listed in the Carcassonne Central list.
I made a lot expansions allready and played the most.

I also made my own expansion, but that one is in Dutch.

I was just wondering why the fanmade expansions are not on BGG?

I use it for my collection and it would be nice to put the fanbased expansions in my BGG-collection.
