At the end of the day, the various companies with licences to produce Carcassone games are free to do what they want.
There is no law to say "You MUST buy every expansion".
If you object so strongly, don't buy the game.
Surely the enjoyment of Carcassone comes from playing it, with maybe a few expansions for variety, rather than from collecting every single expansion possible.
An analogy could be that of a car. Do you expect a car manufacturer to come out with a upgrade kit for old models when they release a new feature on there new cars? Do you have to buy a new car each time there is a new feature released in them?

I will be happy to just sit and wait until I get a chance to buy just the expansion tiles. I have managed to do that successfully so far, including just The Festival tiles.

I would be interested to know if Spielbox have any plans of reprinting The Cathars?

Time will tell. I had better start saving my pennies.

My copy also arrived yesterday. Thank you kettlefish, it arrived in perfect condition. Unlike Lord Wishmaster, I will not get a chance to play it until after the weekend as I am tied up at a motor racing event.

Postage would typically be 10 to 14 days, like AlbinoAsian, do hopefully it will be here any day now. Thanks Kettlefish.

All the best! I don't think I could match the likes of those types of Carc-ers in a base game. Feel much more at home with a few expansions

I am the opposite. I struggle to find people I can play the expansions with. Most of the time I am teaching new players and so end up with the base game and possibly The Rivers.

Yes. There are vector icons in the Carcassonne files area. If you can not find them PM me and I will send you a copy.

Great to see we are back up again. You volunteers do a great job maintaining the site in your own time. Thanks.

Your welcome. The link was mentioned on BGG. I do note that the backs are slightly lighter. Not sure if that is something to do with the printers changing for the 10th anniversary sets or what. The stock is showing a11 sets and has been for the post week.

I have found Spielbox not too bad. Get in before they go though. (I live just over the ditch so postage should be about the same. Same with The School from Cundco.
For The Festival tiles, go to http://hoardobits.com. The price was better than anything else I could find. Can someone confirm though if the tile backs of the 10th anniversaty set are a lighter shade of grey? I also got some blank tiles too.
I was lucky and got the Corn Circles off BGG a few months ago at a good price, and even better got what I believe was the last retail priced copy of Cult, Seige and Creativity on the interweb about a year ago.
That just leaves The Cathers (I know I have the seige, but they are different and I want the lot. I also got into the Carcassonne Expansions just after Spielbox had reprinted the tiles and were already sold out), La Porxada and Windroses to collect. I am looking forward to Cundco selling The Windroses later in the year, but think the others may be out of reach.

I have just finished reading this novel. The amount of work that the authors have put in over the years is astounding.
Thanks guys.
