Not doubting you, but how do you know they are fakes.

Is there anything that we can look out for that gives it away?

If it was a case of many sales, maybe he has a good source of second hand games.

Now, that would be worth watching. A Carcassonne Central final for a national championship.

Well said.
I do appreciate the time zone point. I must thank Chuck for playing in the morning the other day. Normally I have to find time in the morning to play others.

I was also wondering if we were allowing the farm hints? Last thing I knew was they were frowned upon, especially with that one tile in P&D that has the field passing over the road by the city wall. I have seen a few pictures lately with farms shown.

More generous than NZPost. Limit is a width of 1cm for any letter.

I have just finished my competition.

I played Chuck in the wooden spoon group, and am finally sorting this P&D malarkey out.

It was a close game throughout, with from memory the gap never exceeding 20 points.
The dragon left the game quite hungry, with only a few meeple eaten. The princess must also have been unglamerous, as she did not steal many knights either.

I still forgot to move the fairy a few times when completeing features, but at least I did it a few times.

Final score was Andrew the Ambo 154: Chuck 149

Good luck to Chuck and ny1050220 for the final game in D9.

That copy was NZ$40. Which is about 25 Euro.

Just ask Udo Schmidt what he thinks of prices for games here. $40 for  a shrink wrapped copy is about par for the course.

I have joined the dark side.

Have made a few purchases recently, and also hosted Udo when he was here, and got some things from him.

The insert is from Broken Token before any one asks.

I hope Paul intended to send you that tile though.

That said, I do know there is a German Castles tile signed by Doris in New Zealand.

Well, I finally got the Dragon off my back, and won a game with P&D.

Played against ny1050220, and had an interesting game. Took a while before any P&D tiles appeared, so much so that I thought I may not have checked the right box when setting up the game.

It was a reasonably even start, with us sharing a city (ny actually had more meeples, but a hungry dragon saw to that), until he got the last tile that included a princess. That gave him 32 points. Things stayed like that, until I got a 22 point city in similar a situation. I drew the princess tile to finish the city, one that we each had a meeple in. Went to click to remove his meeple, and nothing. It would not be moved. Fainally, ny pointed out it was on the cloister, not the city itself.

The end of the game was a bit of a drag race for me to get the advantage on the big farm. I managed to squeeze ahead there, and managed to eek out a win by completing a city and road with the last tile.

Wamboyil, if you don't have any luck in the next few days, drop me a pm.
I got given a few copies of the Cathedrals by someone I met recently, and could send one on to you.

I then thought about it, and went into the roof to find the box my version came in. It was the same.

Oh well...

Are all First Edition games only put out by HiG, or did Rio Grande put one out?

I am aware of an early copy in NZ, sealed, that includes the River Expansion. It is dated 2000, but on the back includes the SdJ2001 icon. On the front is a gold sticker on the plastic wrap saying "Winner Game of the Year".

The back shows the 70 point scoreboard though.

Is it worth getting?
