I don't think we should underestimate the effort required to make something like Carcassonne work on a computer.

The scheduling of a year of home / away games for major sports like hockey and football are still worked out by people on a huge whiteboard (or they were until just a few years ago)

I've uploaded a short video here: (it says it's still "processing" but it seems to work for me)

In it, you can see me completing a city towards the south of the landscape. It includes one normal follower and one phantom (and a builder) belonging to blue (me) and a wagon belonging to green (jungleboy). I place one tile and am given a bonus turn. On my bonus turn I complete the city. I am then prompted to place the green wagon and neither player can continue until I skip this.

Hopefully this demonstrates the problem sufficiently.

PS - Although it's only minor, you can also see the problem with the chat function in this video

I almost crack myself up every time I read about the Wagon issue in JCZ. We have a similar problem when we play with it on the regular table as well.
  If it's not a question about it, it's the confusion as to how to use it. Sure, I should know the rules by now, but sometimes the flow of the game becomes so slow that I would just make up rules or agree with any objection.

A shame JCZ didn't have an A.I. that did the same.

MrNumbers: good job.
With your report I was able to derive saved game to state before issue happens. The result is that now I have reproducible error because that save game leads to wagon issue every time.
Now I can fix it and verify!

Played a few games, and so far no problems with wagons, or with dragon/builder.  Looking very, very good!

Same here. Wagon problem and builder/ dragon problem look to be solved. Great work farin!

The only thing I did notice is that while the bug with the in-game chat is fixed, the chat on the pre-game screen remains since every message looks as though it has been posted by whoever you have connected as.
