I have today picked up The Tower in original art by Rio Grande Games. Looks unplayed as the 18 tiles are still in the original lattices in the box. The tile dispenser and the wooden tower pieces are all intact and unused too.

We all love at least one variety of Carcassonne. It's so obvious - doesn't need saying.
But there are some less favoured offerings out there.
Please offer support to either if warranted, in your opinion. But fundamentally which is worse :-
1. Carcassonne the Dice Game
2. Expansion 7 The Catapult

Time for a new year rant.
What is the most useless offering to date with reasons please. (this is not aimed at home grown expansions)
There are a few that I rate as substandard due to gameplay (or lack thereof) only. Theme doesn't bother me but I know it does other forum members.
My vote goes to the recent 'start tiles' from Spiel Doch magazine. Any start tile should have the different colour back and these don't, there are advertising words on the tiles and no special rules to accompany them. Totally pointless, useless and badly thought out.
I still bought them. Shame on me.

Hi all, I have bought Ruthless: Legends of the Black Flag and it is unfortunately too complex for me to play with my 10 and 5 year old nephews which is a shame as they love pirates. The game has been opened and items punched but never played. Looking to exchange for something simpler.
As a guide we play carc Star Wars, Kings of Tokyo, Transamerica, Splendor, exploding kittens, top trumps, cardcassonne and Kingdomino - not just kerplunk and operation!
I am getting Azul and carc Safari for Xmas.

I have received 2 unsolicited emails to my personal email address asking in I have the besiegers for sale.
I sold mine in June. So no idea why I am being contacted today. I assume it is a phishing scam and wanted you all to be aware.

If you could only retain 1 carcassonne item, what would it be. No matter the reason, burning house, need to sell for cash or whatever the doomsday scenario...... What is your one carc item that you will keep above all others?
Mine is the welcome tournament tile. Made by Decar, it was a surprise gift , not many exist, a reminder that I can beat other good players ony day.

Whilst playing the WC 2108 final configuration, Rosco and I were able to remove a meeple with the rather alluring Princess and then immediately take over the vacant city with the phantom as part 2 of a single turn.
A comment in v7.4 of CAR under the phantom definitely outlaws this.
Obviously by embarrassment at performing an illegal act with my 6th tile of the game totally ruined my equilibrium and I lost by 150 points. Oh the shame of it.
I therefore request an amendment to the JCZ gameplay to save others from this fate.
