I've created a small landscape with 9 landscape tiles. The tiles are placed according the rules, but the start tile is not a necessary component of this landscape. Each tile is different.
The tile list at HiG will help you - new Edition: CCII-base game - tiles (http://www.hans-im-glueck.de/fileadmin/data_archive/Downloads/CarcBasis_II_D_Plaettchenliste.pdf) . The small pictures onto the tiles like farm, garden, etc. have no effect.
You can also look at the tile list for the classical edition CCI-base game - tiles (http://www.hans-im-glueck.de/fileadmin/data_archive/Downloads/CarcKartenliste1_9_Minis.pdf).
This is the following riddle: Which tiles I have choosen and how I placed them for the 9 tile landscape?
There are 3 rows (1, 2, 3) and 3 columns (A, B, c)
example:
If the start tile is placed in the middle of my mini landscape (name of the tile "D") , then it has the position: 2B (2.row and column B).
I had a small riddle at CarcF - you can look at it as an example.

This time I will use some meeple:
green :green-meeple: - right tile - in correct row, column and orientation
red :red-meeple: - wrong tile
violet :violet-meeple: - right tile - wrong column and wrong row
blue :blue-meeple: - right tile - in correct column
yellow :yellow-meeple: - right tile - in correct row
black :black1-meeple: - right tile in correct orientation
orange :orange-meeple: - right tile in wrong orientation
-
green :green-meeple: - right tile - in correct row, column and position
red :red-meeple: - wrong tile
violet :violet-meeple: - right tile - wrong column and wrong row
blue :blue-meeple: - right tile - in correct column
yellow :yellow-meeple: - right tile - in correct row
black :black1-meeple: - right tile in correct position
orange :orange-meeple: - right tile in wrong position
Would you clarify the meaning of the colours, please?
"Green: right tile, correct row, column, and position." I think position implies both row and column. Do you mean orientation instead?

Decar - 2 tiles are double in your suggestion. You have used the tile (name) "K" twice.

Sorry missed that rule:

some tiles have more than only one meeple (example :orange-meeple: + :blue-meeple:) - but I don't tell all information...
column A: 2 :red-meeple: and 1 :orange-meeple: with :blue-meeple:
column B and C: 3 :orange-meeple:
row 1: 2 :blue-meeple:
column B and C : 1 :yellow-meeple: and 1 :violet-meeple:
row 3: 1 :blue-meeple:

I don't understand what you are asking us to do ... just put nine tiles from the base game in a legal formation?
I guess I can't find the constraints or requirements that would tell me what my grid of nine tiles has to conform to.

The base game has 72 tiles total - but there are only 24 tiles which are different.
The landscape has 9 different tiles (3x3tiles) - placement like the regular Carcassonne rules.
I guess I can't find the constraints or requirements that would tell me what my grid of nine tiles has to conform to.
I don't understand what you are asking here.

Understood, but that still leaves thousands of combinations. Here's one:

Is that all I need to do?
I don't understand what you are asking here.
What I mean is, there must be more to the puzzle than just fitting nine different tiles together. I did that, but it was super-easy.

I could be wrong but have you ever played the game mastermind? This seems to be a carcassonne version. 9 tiles are placed, you have to work out the landscape chosen by the challenger from the meeples awarded to your guess. So if from your 9 tiles 6 were correct, the meeples would show this. You'd then have another guess replacing the wrong three and switching order of the correct 6 until you match the answer.
If I'm wrong that'd be a great new game! ;)

Hi Squiffything,
you are right - it is a new game for Carcassonne MasterMind.
We played Carcassonne-MasterMind last year here at CarcassonneCentral (CarcC).
Last time we had one row of 4 landscape tiles - placed according to the rules and used the colouring meeples for the answers for the guesses.
Here you can find some example games:

Got to be honest, I have no idea what's going on, even though I should, so here are my adjustments:

Sorry for small size - this was just quickly put together. I'll do a better quality one later.

Ah, thank you for clearing that up. I'm new here and had no idea this was Mastermind.

Hi wolnic, the size is fine for me. I can see all the information what are necessary.

column B: 2 :red-meeple: and 1 :violet-meeple: and 1 :orange-meeple:
row 1: 1 :red-meeple: and 2 :orange-meeple: and 1 :violet-meeple: and 1 :blue-meeple:

Better quality this time. If all the tiles are in the right positions, but the whole block of 9 has been rotated 90degrees from your layout would that be a correct solution?

Hi wolnic,
I will answer your question with the following attachment. I use your last guess. If this would be the riddle from the master of MasterMind (in the dark red frame) then you can see the guesses in the next 3 pictures what happens with the tiles and the result.

row 3: 1 :violet-meeple:

No more guesses?
-
Sorry, not had time to analyse the last set of results ... and I thought I had identified the nine tiles ... must check my logic from the first three guesses
-
Turns out I hadn't analysed Decar's first attempt ... Here's my third attempt.
No one else interested in trying to solve this?
-
If it helps people are welcome to use the graphics from this page (http://tehill.net/carcassonne/tiles/files.php).

Gratulations to you wolnic - you have solved this riddle.
Here is the result:
9 :green-meeple:

Congrats wolnic!
Even though I only started looking at this since yesterday, the idea of a puzzle like this is fun! :(y)

Just a Bill,
What tool did you use for this?

WOW! That was a bit sudden. Thought I might need a couple of more guesses. Having analysed the previous attempts I knew a few of the tiles were in specific columns, or rows, or had a specific orientation (but no more than one of these for any inidividual tile) and a few things that they weren't (eg one tile might still have two possible orientations). I then tried to make a 3x3 layout, confirmed that the tiles (where I knew some info) were still valid and came up with that last one! Thanks kettlefish! So, if there's another one, can someone match, or better, 6 turns?
-
Well done Wolnic!

I do all my work custom in Photoshop. Sorry, there's no ready-to-use app (that I know of) for getting everything the same size and adding nice bevels and drop shadows. I'm a bit obsessive, and so I tweak each tile to maximize its appearance. (This is why I didn't continue the riddle once I understood that it was Mastermind ... my method for making images is too time-consuming for this kind of contest.)
