So, moving swiftly on from all those powerful images of Paul in the bath, I'm pleased to bring you, the next round!

Sorry for the delay in posting the below fixtures. I was trying to complete our second trip around the round robin as completely as possible despite the two eliminations, but it got far too messy for me to deal with so I ended up just resetting it and starting a new round afresh (even though this means that some of us will end up having played certain opponents three times whilst only having played one game against others).

Also, please note that whilst I’ve put a deadline of 6th September on this round, it doesn’t matter too much if we go over it, especially what with the World Cup starting next week which everyone here is taking part in

On another note...

With the World Cup just around the corner I’m going to move my officially recommended version of JCloisterZone on from 3.1.1 to 3.3.1. The most significant reason for this is that people need to be using 3.3.1 in order to be able to use the online server which we’re likely to end up relying on quite heavily for the majority of games (all 80 of them at the group stage alone

)!

However, I’m a little nervous about endorsing a version of something that I’ve not really used much as I don’t know how well-tested the online play side of things is. Therefore, please can we all start using 3.3.1 for our Last Meeple Standing games so that we can hopefully identify any bugs/ glitches before the World Cup goes live?

Very close game, it looked like Jacobo would win for a while when he added a second farmer to the 12-point farm, but I was able to close all my features and free up meeples for small farms which was enough.

We used version 3.2.0 because Jacobo won't have a proper internet connection on his laptop to download the new version until next week.

Hi all,

This probably goes without saying, but I think we probably need to put this contest on hold while the World Cup is taking place. If you have the opportunity to play one of your outstanding games for this round then by all means do so, but let’s give preference to the World Cup where possible for the time being.

(this said, I do still need to post the result of my game with jungleboy)
