Title: PSA: Cundco now stock alt coloured abbotts (also: WTB Grey abbott)
Post by: ooh_jim on December 03, 2015, 07:22:53 AM
Got my alt coloured player sets today, and they each included an abbott. I know Dan mentioned recently that he hadn't seen alt abbotts for sale anwhere before, so I guess they must have added them recently.

The bad news is they won't sell them separately, you have to buy a complete player set consisting of everything (but the phantom). Furthermore, they are only selling purple/pink/orange/white/brown/uncoloured sets, so the only way to get your hands on the black/blue/green/red/yellow abbotts is to get a copy of 2.0.

This also means that there is still no way of getting a grey abbott, short of making your own. So if anyone out there is feeling crafty, I'm willing to buy one from you!

It also meens, that people, who bought a "non standard color" set before have to buy it a second time, if they want to get an abbot of that color?

I guess so. That's a shame; I guess I'm lucky in holding out on the colours not included in big box 5.

Decar, as long as they don't sell the new colour abbots as special article, I'd try to buy them as spare parts.

I'd try that to, CundCo only states on their site that you can't buy the basic colours as spare parts...

I've emailed multiple suppliers of meeples in search of the abbotts in the basic colours. Yesterday, Board Game Extra's emailed me back that he has them in the 5 basic colours. He's oploaded them to his site, this is the link: http://boardgameextras.co.uk/item.php?id=26988

Actually what CundCo says is that the spare part service isn't to be used for complete sets... So if you were to order 1-2 base coloured abbots per order over time...

FYI: Carcassonne 2.0 is available on Amazon UK for £15 - cheapest I've been any Carcassonne game for a while.  You'd get gardens then too.

A sick bag? Boy if First Aid kits couldn't get any better!
