Just a quick query, is there any chance of a SCAR fork specifically for Carc 2.0?

I have no problems in making one, I just didn't want to be treading on toes/reinventing the wheel/doubling the work. ;)

Well as for as far I know and have read. That if I'm not wrong, but the current CAR will not be updated with difference from OLD and NEW version. So there are some tile differences that will not be taken into, but furthermore I don't know.

Will do, most of it is copy/pasting from the rule books, I am just trying to amalgamate them all together, including as many of the "if scenario x, then y" addendums as possible. But yes, proof reading would be great, sometimes my fingers go faster than my brain does.

Given the rules belong to HiG (or Zman in the case of the English rules), I'm not sure simply copy and pasting them would be sufficiently different to not encroach on their IP. Proceed with caution. But good luck with your project!

Good point. You know, with trying to work out all the details, layouts, etc. I had not even considered copyrights. I presumed it would come under some kind of "fair use"(non commercial research and private study).
Ah well, It will have to be a "personal use only" project.

Just to give a bit of context to this discussion.
The CAR is a huge undertaking and, as the front page of this website says, is the "heart of the community". While one person is ultimately responsible for updating and maintaining the CAR, it is a project that multiple people contribute to in the form of official clarifications with HiG (which kettlefish does) and discussions about layout and content. You can see the depth of contributions in the acknowledgements section at the back of the current CAR.
Last year we had an important discussion about the future of the CAR (http://www.carcassonnecentral.com/community/index.php?topic=2943.0), given that obervet was retiring from updating the CAR and that the new edition has created some complications regarding how to approach the CAR in the future (e.g. whether one or two documents would be best). The result of that discussion was that Just a Bill agreed to take on the task of producing a 'final' CAR for the old edition of Carcassonne. He has begun this and involved the community in some of the things he is working through, e.g. Wheel of Fortune Comparison (http://www.carcassonnecentral.com/community/index.php?topic=3551.0) and The Junction Problem (http://www.carcassonnecentral.com/community/index.php?topic=3847.0).
If I recall correctly, the general feeling was that this final CAR for the old edition was the main priority, and a separate CAR for the new edition would follow. Since Just a Bill is the current 'guardian' of the CAR, I believe he has the option of taking on the new edition CAR once he has finished the old one. If he doesn't want to do the new edition CAR, or if he feels that simultaneous production of both documents would be beneficial and therefore someone else with the necessary 'qualifications' could start work on it straight away, then that's up to him and/or open for discussion. In any case, before anyone starts the new edition CAR, I think a wide-ranging discussion by members here would be helpful in determining how to approach it in terms of layout and content.
