I'm interested in The Tunnels, but unfortunately for me I'm chronically low on money as a university student. But I don't want to give too low an offer either so I'm a bit lost  :-\

I was just lazily surfing around and stumbled upon a Danish boardgame site where you can actually choose which colour the box is for The Phantom mini expansion (they are out of blue and green though). As I know some members here want all of them I thought I should post it here for those who are interested :)

The site is: http://se.hyggeonkel.dk/strategispil/
The price is 64SEK (~6€) but I suspect that the shipping will also cost a bit.

Hi all!

Sorry for being quiet for so long, I've had a rough time with my studies and exams. I will post a signed tile but I will first check with some close friends of mine who I play Carcassonne with often if they too are interested in signing tiles. So I'll be back in touch when I know how many tiles I/we need and if any of them have any preferences.

Great work everyone! This is going to be awesome! :D

Finally! I've been waiting for the Carcassonne Winter tiles rule release since november :P

A minor note however: The player must choose either A or B, not may. There is a big difference and the rules actually has a specific note about that. Great thread btw!

I like this idea a lot! I'm pondering if my girlfriend and I should take the lake and spring tiles from The River I and sign them so you have the possibility to build at least one river... :) But then I would have to buy an extra river or order from Cundco. What do you all think?

I know there already have been posted links to The Phantom but another one couldn't hurt :P

(The product image is wrong btw, but it is the real thing)

It is from the Swedish store "Science Fiction bokhandeln" which is located in Stockholm (the Swedish capital) and Gothenburg (for those who live nearby or travel to Sweden during vacation). They also offer the option for buying it online and also do international shipping (I don't know the international shipping costs though).

currently it costs 49 SEK, which is roughly 5 euro.
They also have some of the 6 standard mini-expansions for 39 SEK á piece.

I think I read somewhere on their site that if you order for a certain amount or more (think it was around 25-30€) then you get that tote-bag for free :)

Well... If you klick on the "rotten easter egg" and actually reads what the description says you find this at the bottom:

Ihr bekommt leider nichts für dieses Produkt, seht es eher als einen Scherz an :)

But I really hope you guys get something for the trouble anyhow.. :)

I love the idea of the halfling tiles. But there are some things that I wished they had put in more time to fix. First of all, they are slightly larger than a normal tile, so they don't fit nicely in a square hole so you have to misalign the entire board (or at least that particular row and column) when playing them (if not played on the edge of the board). Another thing is that the hypotenuse of the triangles are slightly arched outward and not straight which just adds to the previous size problem. I have pondered if it is possible to just take a really fine sandpaper and "trim" the edges but I'm afraid that I will just end up ruining the tiles. Might try it out on the "rule" tile from the 10-year anniversary expansion (the one with fireworks) first and see how it goes...

But these problems are hugely outweighed by the new gameplay and strategies introduced by these little fellows, you can use them to either block your opponents or use them to sneak in on a farm/field, or both at the same time!

So even though their shape could have been more precisely cut/stamped I highly recommend them for any Carcassonne player :)

As Andrew the Ambo said. And if you want to order things for over 10€ (say 15€) they actually tell you on their webpage that you can split the order into several smaller orders and thus get the 3.5€ shipping for each order under 10€ instead of paying 25€ shipping ;)

This is great! Found all easter eggs (3.5 euro discount) and ordered:
German castles
Pink player meeples
Purple player meeples
And also managed to cram in two replacement tiles that I've lost earlier (no I didn't order 2 Abbey & Mayor monasteries/red cloister tiles)

Can't wait to get the package! :D

Great work on the breakdown and tile analysis both of you!

Regarding the extra CRFR tile:
It might be as simple as that they couldn't rearrange the ratio between rows/columns in a way to print exactly the right number of tiles. Thus they got one spare in the printing sheets and just decided to just give players a bonus tile instead of changing the production sheets and all that comes with it. Just my thoughts on the matter  ;)

JCloisterZone FAQ, Suggestions & Bug Reports / Re: JCZ 3.1.1
« on: March 07, 2015, 01:50:58 PM »
I just tested to play JCloisterZone for the first time and just... wow!

But there was one thing that I felt was missing and that is to be able to set the "speed" of which the computers play their tiles. Because when you play with more than 1-2 computers there is a lot to take in quickly when all computers play their tiles in less than a second.

So some sort of checkbox or slider option when initializing a game would be great for controlling the play speed so you get a chance to see each computers' turn better.

I haven't seen the code so I can't say for certain, but it shouldn't need more than some sort of "sleep" function and an if(comp_sleep == true) {call sleep function;} in the play loop.

Btw, what language is it written in and where can I peek at the source code? :)

I love the sheep, particularly because pressing our luck tends to work out great for me and poorly for my husband!

But in all seriousness, it's really nice to have an extra thing to do when putting a follower down doesn't seem worth it. However, the ZMG rules regarding shepherd placement are really busted. It's essential when playing this to use the HiG rules only.

In what way is the rules different regarding shepherd placement? Was awhile since I last played with this expansion.
