Many moons ago we voted on 7Wonder being our favourite not-Carcassonne game. Asmodee have released images of the new version of 7 Wonders.
They've only gone and updated the art work!

Generally, I'm ok with the design changes but what's most concerning is they've decided to change the card backs. At least that's something Carcassonne got right. Now old and new are not compatible.

Ok so I guess it's time to buy the missing expansions with old back before they are out of stock anywhere

Changing the art on the back on cards is merely an inconvenience. Sleeves can fix that.
I never bought the game but enjoyed it very much in the gaming club.

Unlikely, most coloured slides are partially transparent, it'll be quite obvious given the change.
Also it looks like one of the resources has changed, so future expansions aren't going to hold up mechanically.

Interesting that a lot of people moaned about the artwork changing. Seems most of it is identical or mirrored from what I can tell.
