I just saw the tiles. They look beautiful.

So again I have to ask: Are these tiles the same size as Carcassonne?  :)

I also like how they made the tiles / concept. It seems like they are fit for large games without you getting lost in the landscape, unlike megaCarc games.
World record holder for a single game of Carcassonne using 10 007 tiles!

I have been following this one for a while and was also sold after watching Michael's video.

A definite buy in my books. I seriously doubt it would get to Carcassonne status but am always looking for light games to play with my Mrs  :yellow-meeple:

Wanna play Carc? Can we add just one more expansion?

I'd love to get some good 2-player feedback on this.  The selling mechanic seems to work quite well [it may even work as a Bazaar variant].  I watched Rahdo play it 2 -player and the scoring mechanics are very appealing.

I played this once several weeks ago.  I liked it pretty well, but I think I need another play or two to really draw any conclusions/comparisons.  Looking forward to a marathon game weekend starting tonight!  Good chance I'll get in a play there.

Decar, I've played 7 - 2 player games with the Mrs. and we both really enjoy it. The game seems perfectly fine and suitable for two. I haven't played many bidding games but this feels spot on, even for 2 player count. I would even say this aspects works brilliantly.

Now I haven't tried it with more than 2 so can't speak to the possible differences. There is great tension in the drafting faze and Im not sure that would increase with higher player count.

There can be a bit of AP with the bidding and tile placement. Just guessing this might also increase with player count.

I like your idea of a Carc - Bazaar variant, as long as it didn't slow down the game too much.

Just my 2 bits. Let us know how it goes, if and when, you pick this up.

I'll be moving this to the 'Other Games' forum: http://www.carcassonnecentral.com/community/index.php?topic=2022.0

Edit:  I've not played it myself I'm afraid.  It's on the list of things to look out for.

When I first seriously started looking at games outside the Carcassonne world a few months ago, Isle of Skye was one of the first games I saw that really grabbed my attention. I asked for it for my birthday but then reneged and asked for Medina instead. I'm still interested in Isle of Skye but I'm not sure when I'll be able to get/play it.

A few more plays in and I can say that I enjoy it.  The biggest hurdle for me to get over is the fact that the roads don't have to continue, or perhaps more to the point (in Carcassonne terms), it's legal join a field edge to a road edge.  It feels very wrong to do so.  I like the variable scoring per round/game and I like the quasi-bidding aspect of it.  It's relatively quick too.

I see this won the Spiel des Jahres.  Maybe I'll put on my Christmas list.

Although I already own it, I've not had a chance to play it yet. I did watch a 3 player game, though and it really is an interesting game. I'm not sure about the playability (like playing it 50 times and still enjoying it) but that would easily be fixed with an expansion or two.

Sort of like Cacao. It has a nice run but eventually expansions were needed to make the game refreshing again.
