The Marketplace / WTB: Hills and Sheep (orginal art)
« on: August 12, 2017, 05:14:54 PM »
Looking to get a copy of Hills and Sheep in the original art style. Has anyone seen one locally or have better luck searching online.  Trying to find one in US, most I see are not.

Just picked up Abbey and Mayor at a local shop after putting it off forever, realized I never got Hills and Sheep either.

Thanks.

Had to go with Cribbage here!  Almost always up for a game.  Love to teach it to new people, even though most think I'm just making up ways to score as we go!!

Only problem I see is no phantom!!

Lol, I read the rulebook for Sheriff of Nottingham and kinda thought the same.  I hear good things about it so when I saw it for so low I snapped it up.  After your big endorsement it shall sit gathering more shame for the time being.

After typing it out it's not as bad as I thought.

Carcassonne: The City  (Cannot wait to get this to the table, been too long, maybe tomorrow night)

Citadels (2016) (Gift for Christmas this last year, hadn't heard of it, looks good)

Pandemic Legacy (Getting used to regular Pandemic/Iberia a bit first)

Scoundrel Society (Early gaming purchase, liked the concept/theme, can't get it to table)

Sheriff of Nottingham (Deal during Amazon Prime Day maybe?  Impulse buy, not sure my group will like)

Skull (Bought for camping/fishing trips, coming up in June here)

Tikal (was looking for a Catan alternative, brother always wants to play Catan)

Tiny Epic Western (Kickstarted, I like poker and worker placement, seemed overwhelming when I tried to read rules, later maybe)

Twilight Struggle (Just arrived, need to find an opponent)

So 9 games and I have just under 50 at last count.  I have many that have just had one or two plays.  Hard to get other players away from their favorites, especially when you don't get to meet regularly learning a new game isn't always ideal.

Won't stop me from buying ones I think will be a hit.  Still looking for that next Carcassonne though.

I would have to agree, that is a pretty game breaking rule change.  Half the fun of Carcassonne is the strategies to get into a unclaimed feature or sneak yourself onto the opponents.

To add to Decars' list the Flying Machines mini expansion would be less usefull, I'm sure many other things would be broke as well.

My copy of 5 Minute Dungeon arrived today as well, hoping to try it out tonight!  The box was much larger than I was expecting and looks rather nice too.  About to open it up.

My package from Halfling and the "Tip for an Almost Complete Collection" post arrived today.  Excited to give The City a try as soon as we can find some time.  Until then I will be working on fitting all my main Carcassonne game collection into the wooden box from The City, which sounds like a much better use of it.

Thanks again Halfling and everyone else that was involved in the transaction!!

Sadly I had to vote not interested.  On the bright side, it does make the hurt of no more old art tiles sting a little less, seeing this be the first major expansion not to come out in the old style.  Would have been a tough call to make had it been a really cool expansion.

Hello everyone

I may be interested in The Cult + The new cabins (Stone Age).  Let me know if it's still available?

Thanks

I had mine posted on BGG for $60.00 but it is located in the US.  It is sealed.

Whatever the shipping fee is would be all I would need.  It's not a hassle for me to box it up and ship it out.

I'm in the US, never shipped anything to the UK so I'm not sure what would be cheaper.  Easiest for me would be UPS.  Let me know if you want me to get a price on it.

How does about $60.00 sound?

Typed that up way to late.  I have corrected the post and title.
