Hello people!
This is just a general question about the playability of the Watchtowers expansion with the original Carcassonne game. Do they work and look well together?
The completionist in me wants to buy Watchtowers but, since this will be the only Carc 2 expansion I will own, I am dubious about how well it looks and plays in general.
Hope all is well!

Yes, they are good together, we played them on our game nights. Here is one of the photos.
By the way, it was very interesting combination of expansions: German Cathedrals, Ferries and Watchtowers.

They actually look really nice together! Thanks!

I have been using them as proxies for a fan expansion I am working on. They stick out, so there is no chance of accidentally putting them back with the wrong expansion. Some of the really dark old art expansions stick out more (see German Cathedrals above). So I am definitely buying new art expansions that are exclusive to the new art.

Now we can download the conversions (https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewforum.php?f=310) (not made by HiG but officially approved by them) of The Watchtowers and The Abbot.

Very nice one, Just a Bill!
If I just lean how to print those tiles properly, that'll be my new "old" expansion!

These look great!
Do you have a version in a higher resolution?
The image is only around 72dpi (which won't look very nice when printed) and the link appears to be dead.

Hi benbever,
You can download the rules and the tile sheet from Carcassonne Forum:
https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=310&t=3800 (https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=310&t=3800)
Note: To reach that page you need to register and post at least five times to be able to access the Download area.
Cheers!
