Great to hear from you again Mandy!

Shipwrights is deceptive...it looks like a 20minutes game but can take a really long time.  I read somewhere a 5p game took 3hours!?!?!  I'm considering making some alternate rules for some cards to speed up play for 2p. Raiders and Explorers are much nearer their estimated times!  Looking forward to Architects too!

Thanks Decar .... I did think of reducing the number of built ships to 3.  But last night, he was already on 12 points with 3 ships and me just 8 with 3 ships :(  I got my Drakkar built to end the game with 14 points :) We've add the Townsfolk expansion, but haven't really made much use of it, yet, so that might speed things up.

From the chit chat on this forum, I found my way to Kickstarter a couple of months back.  At the moment I'm backing Architects of the West Kingdom, and from that I was introduced to the North Sea Trilogy.  I ordered the whole set - Shipwrights, Raiders + Fields of Fame + Hall of Heros, Explorers and the Runesaga.  Rocks of Ruin is also on order.

So far the other half and I have only played Shipwrights, and instead of speeding up, we're taking longer!  Last night, 1 game took an hour and half ... we are getting more choosy as to which ships we build.  I've pretty much taught myself how to play Raiders and shall try and teach him over the weekend.

Anyways, just wanted to say another thank you to all you guys ... I'm Mandy and live on the Sussex coast.

I love playing games, but the OH not so.  Carcassonne was the first game I got him to play about 10 years ago, although we've played Scrabble for 30+ years.

I want to say thank you to you all  :)  I have just ordered this mini expansion, which I wouldn't have known about if it wasn't for this forum.  I know I don't join in with commenting, but I do very much appreciate reading all that you post.   :pink-meeple:

The Marketplace / Re: How can I get The Gingerbread Man mini expansion?
« on: February 21, 2018, 12:22:26 AM »
I recently bought on eBay a sealed copy of Winter with the Gingerbread Man, for £26.00 + £3.90 p&p, which was cheaper than buying the 6 tiles from Germany, as noted above.  I now have 2 sets of Winter combined, along with 2 sets of Winter crop circles and the Gingerbread Man.  With the predicted snow about to arrive here in England this weekend, guess what we'll be playing  :white-meeple:

Thank you showing all the photos ... really enjoyed seeing behind the scenes.

I bought their big Carcassonne box last Summer for all my first edition tiles, and shall soon have to buy another for the second edition tiles.

From their December newsletter, I'd seen they were going to introduce a Catan box and have nearly completed my collection of all the expansions, so will soon be ordering one of them ... I'd better start doing some weight training!  Plus, I've a full set of the current Ticket to Ride games, which will also need a couple of boxes  :)

I see you have 2 Dominion boxes ... how many sleeved cards will you be able to store in each?  I don't yet have Dominion, but it's on the wish list.
