Other Games / Re: KICKSTARTER (watch your purses)
« on: August 13, 2019, 01:33:22 AM »
I think my one and only KS game this year will be the now-ended Dinogenics. I had (up until recently) Dinosaur Island however having played Dinogenics at a game night/tabletopia it does everything I wanted from a Jurassic Park-inspired game (essentially, Agricola with dinos!).

A big hit to the wallet though, so not only will I try to avoid kickstarter for the rest of the year, I will have to sell one of my games if I want another replace with another ( I try to do a one in, one out policy anyway). Expansions and really tiny card games don't count, right?  ;)

*speculation mode* I've not heard anything, though I would hazard a guess of some sort of promo in the incoming Essen.

I'd personally love to see the Minis released (for those without the Carc 2.0 big box) as one expansion, though a big expansion to replace the old Catapult entry might help to cause some noise on here :D

-  the pet names we give to all the meeples, with highlights of 'Little Chef' (the Builder) and 'Big Legs' (the Mayor)

- how a game with my wife can either be a friendly, chilled-out, tv-on-in-the-background event -building our own little landscapes peacefully.....or a completely cut-throat farm-stealing, city-sabotaging, farmer trapping experience.

I think The Catapult is the de facto worst. The tile art is nice(imo)..... and that's about it!

Apart from the Spiel'17 tile and the Minis, my 2.0 collection is relatively complete for now.

I'm very tempted to get rid of the base and the first two expansions and get the Big Box - anyone heard if the Minis will be available separately at any point?

The Marketplace / Re: CundCo

Forgive me if it's somewhat hijacking a thread however I just wondered if anyone is having a delay on their on their orders from Cundco?

I made an order late November which has gone through through and is with me now, however I made one at the beginning of this month and although it has been paid via Paypal (and have a Paypal invoice), it hasn't appeared on my orders on the Cundco account page. Any others experiencing the same? I assume it might be some form of Christmas rush!

I didn't do it last year - does anyone have any experience regarding if they honor the Spiel 18 tile when the order reaches 20 euro'ish only with the shipping included?

Dear Carcassonne and Hans in luck player,

here it is, this year's Christmas action ! This time we have a gift package and a bundle for you. Even the " Spiel '18" platelets , which have become rarer this year , are still available for very fast customers (while stocks last ). For this you have to actively order it (with a total minimum order value of € 20.00). Unfortunately, this can not be done without paying a "contribution fee" of 0.01 cents. If it can not be ordered anymore, it is already sold out. We have opened our own section " Christmas Action ". Have a look over there!

Shipping is part of the order, so I'd guess it should include this. But that's just my opinion.

Seems like that's probably the case then (I guess it would be a little mean otherwise!)

Do You have option to order Spiel18 tile for. 001 euro? I cant see it by order of over 21 euro (without shopping)....
 :(

You have to manually add the Spiel'18 tile (via the 'Christmas Action' tab) to your basket - it won't be included otherwise.

Just placed an order. Shipping is not free, of course.

Likewise.

Any news about Cundco Santa Claus action with Spiel18 promo tile? He have almost december....   :-[

No, not yet. I'm sure it will pop up on the store before the week is up. I'm after a nice big order of Carc and Marco Polo things so I'm holding off until then - it would be my luck to make a big order and miss it!

Do we know if you can get one through a cundco order by spending 20 or so euros again this year? Last year was announced around this time.

Not yet - I'd guess end of this week.

The big question is will it be played with or remain on the shelf?  ;D

The folding scoreboard is pretty neat!

General / What's your Carcassonne status?
« on: July 23, 2018, 02:13:25 AM »
Hi all,

It's been a while since I've been here -

My question is - where is everyone at, with Carcassonne now?

Are you complete with your Carcassonne (original version) collection and 'done' now but enjoy keeping up with Carc news?

Are you just starting your collection?

Are you awaiting any new mini-expansions?

Are you bored (I feel dirty even typing that!!) of Carc and have gone on to new pastures?

For me, I'll always love Carcassonne, however after lots of real life things (mainly moving house and the lots of DIY that follows....) and lots of time not on here, I've come back and assessed my collection with new eyes. I've got/had pretty much all of the original version, however I've come to liking the new artwork and in fact found it actually easier to explain rules such as farming to new-to-gaming audiences as its the boundaries are more clearly defined. That's not to say that I dislike the old art - it's still my favourite!

In fact I'm going through my Carc collection and shall be selling on old art bits and pieces and look to acquire the new, as well as broaden my overall board game collection. Subconsciously it may also be that I enjoy the collecting element too much!
