help! i need someone in Germany!
« on: November 10, 2014, 12:41:41 PM »
Hi all - i would like to ask for some help.

I have won an auction on Ebay for a Big Box which is in Germany.  the seller is reluctant to post to the UK however I think he might but he doesnt speak english.

I would like to ask 2 favours - first can someone translate this sentance for me - 'I would appreciate it very much if you could send it direct to the UK,  however if this is not possible i will try to find someone who I can ask to receive it and forward it on.  Thankyou.

Favour 2 - if he wont send to the uk - would someone be willing to recieve it and resend it to me?

Thanks in advance!

The translation could be:

Es wäre sehr schön, wenn Sie die BigBox direkt zu mir nach England schicken könnten. Wenn das nicht möglich ist, würde ich versuchen, jemanden in Deutschland zu finden, der sie in Empfang nimmt und an mich weitersendet. Vielen Dank.

I know it isn't correct to change UK in England, but in Germany most of the people think of the whole island when they think of England.

If you need a receiver/resender ;) in Germany, just write me a PM.

If you could wait 'til springtime I could arrange a personal transfer of the BigBox.
Some Scottish friends are planning to visit me, and on their way back north ...  8)
No, just a joke. ;)

I would offer you the forwarding of the BigBox.

I’m really impressed with the members of this forum. If someone can be of some help, they do it without hesitation.

I got my copies of The Darmstadt and the The Dutch and Belgium Monasteries with the help from Khonnor and SRBO. If it weren’t for them, these expansions would be impossible for me to obtain. And they have helped a lot of you other guys to get hold of them too.

This evening I got a mail from Quevy with one of his tiles, that I liked.

And now Benny offers Rosco to be the resender of his Big Box - and that within an hour!

I bow to you guys. You are really great! :(y) :(y) :(y) :(y) :(y) :(y)

do you know why Ebay won't let you pay?

One of the guy s we play football with is from Germany. He does not speak Swedish well as he's a foreign student.

It's funny as we were playing football at the usual soccer field when he showed up one day and everyone thought someone else in the gang knew him and invited him in.  ;D Ever since, he's been a member and plays every week.

So, I thought it would be fun to learn some German phrases regarding football. Such as "pass me the ball" or "pass left" etc.

Figure I post it here because the thread subject is kinda on the spot.  >:D

UPDATE: Forgot to put the question out there, any of you German speaking can give me a few phrases to learn?
