Thank you kettlefish for sharing these photos and news with us.
I'm not sure I like the artwork on this new name. Lots of black and white question-marks makes it hard to tell the difference:)

Just a word of warning - if you're buying a gift for your Carcassonne-liking exchangee, you had best work out which versions of Carcassonne they have. There are now two art styles and it would be a shame if they conflicted.

Well done JT Atomico, a tidy find Sorry I didn't get in touch. Now the real question is what happens when 6 teachers take on 6 phantoms in a brawl

I've got a spare copy of Neues Land (The German Edition of The Discovery). Here's a BGG link: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/16216/carcassonne-discovery English Rules from Rio Grande are here too It's been played a couple of times, but it is in good condition. Looking for about £7.50 / 10.50€ (+ postage from the UK), but open to offers Many thanks

Enjoyed playing this last night - although the 3 hours it took did take it's toll. We finished close to midnight!
I got some early points, but Imelda & Khalid we working together on completing features for Imelda, while Dan and I started off solo.
Dan and I lost 3, 8 point cloisters to the Dragon near the start of the game, but this kicked us into shape to take that large city as Dan described.
Tactics on the farm were interesting. Imelda went all in; while Dan and I decided to try and share (to score double). It paid off in the end, but it was very close. The advantage here is Khalid was left to score points and claim smaller farms, while Dan and I both had to carefully consider any misplay.
Thanks again for the game!

That always happens. I'm just about to complain about something not arriving and there's a knock on the door

We could add a tournament option to JCZ which implements no aids but the one that I would keep is the tile list.
I have a Change Request Open to turn off player aids for tournament games.

Can I ask the people who are still waiting what they ordered? I have feeling select coloured meeple were/are out of stock. Possibly this is why there is a delay. It's a shame cundco have not made contact though. It's odd because my email got answered in only a few hours. I paid with paypal too, not sure if other methods create a delay.

Dont forget one of the teams consists of a couple sat in the same room; we cannot expect them to play in silence. Time constraints are always an issue, but games can be saved and continued later if necessary. Carcassonne supports inter-player chat, I see no reason why this cant be through chat, hangouts with translate, skype, semaphore or even rfc1149. Or just screaming NO before your team mate commits their turn, if there is no common tongue.

Hi Decar if you still have the power grid promo I'm happy for it to go to CKorfmann as I wouldn't be able to use it (no Germany map).
Thanks Curt, I meant to bring it to the meetup and totally forgot. I've let CKorfmann have next dibs.
