Dan,

Are you rebuying everything in the new art?

I am not, but even if I was, this one would be left out.

Yes I am.

Even if I don't play with it as much as I do the old art stuff, the relaunch presented a great opportunity to buy everything again before they got too hard to find so I jumped on the opportunity to complete my future collection!

You can find German rules in the link below;

https://www.schmidtspiele.de/media/files/48266_Carcassonne_Graf_Koenig_und_Konsorten_II_DE.pdf

There are 2 giant tiles for the city instead of 12 tiles. Also I liked king and robber markers (to mark the largest city & longest road while game progresses)

Officially Launched by Cundco, I really like the two large tiles instead of the 12 small tiles, makes for a quicker setup. Just a bit disappointed in the artwork, a few months ago Anne Pätzke in her interview on boardgamebeaver said that she had creative freedom in the 6th expansion but im struggeling to see it? what do you all think going on this expansion and Manege Frei im not super excited about future expansion? https://cundco.de/en/detail/index/sArticle/192/sCategory/77

Great news,  shame I could have waited for the Circus to arrive and done a single order  >:( >:(

As for creative freedom.  This is the city of Carcassonne - it kinda looks like it, hard to avoid!

I agree that it does look a lot like the city itself, maybe I was just expecting more. As for Manege Frei I still dont like the Art Work looks out of place when playing with all the other expansions.

Yes, there are 2 tiles with a garden:
- a river II tile
- a tile with a half round city

Not jumping into new art for the moment but finally something they improved: the 2 markers for longest road and largest city!

Have not seen them in real life but they are shown in the german rulebook:

A river II tile has an Inn with a lake on it. The roof is yellow instead of the red roof from the Inn with a lake in the 1st expansion.

I didn't saw this during the correction reading of the rules. But at the moment I am creating a sort of x-rule excel table (game play with other expansions) and I looked into all rules and all the tiles - and I found that out.

I guess they wanted to make it stand out more.

The house of inn at the lake in the 6th expansion is the same one which they use for the pig farm. It is only mirrored.

The house of inn at the lake in the 6th expansion is the same one which they use for the pig farm. It is only mirrored.

Well that's very unfortunate. All the other inn buildings are identical, but this one looks like just a plain, decorative farmhouse. (It's not just a color change; the whole style is different.)

One of these things is not like the others; one of these things just doesn't belong...

The yellow color makes it blend into the tile background more, and given how yellow buildings are used elsewhere it generally communicates "this thing is just for decoration; ignore it." Of course veterans will know it is supposed to be an offical inn by comparing to the Carcassonne 1.0 version of the same tile ... but allowing aesthetic indulgence at the expense of gameplay clarity is never a good design choice. The CAR 2.0 will require a clarification that this tile does indeed contain an Inn even though it doesn't look like one.

2.0 land seems filled with many weak decisions. Apparently HiG does not remember the lessons that have already been learned (:ahem: pig-herds).  :(
