We tried Zooloretto for the first time this weekend and my son really enjoyed it. We may try to acquire it since it seems to be back in print. I am hoping they come out with a big box because from what I have read, this game has more expansions than Carcassonne.

I can't click on a lot of this stuff or translate anything from German while at work. Are the rules available yet? If it is the same as De Kloosters I'm not sure I am interested.

My wife and kid have switched to Hills & Sheep. I guess we will have to vote again! I would have voted for the GQ mini expansion (as well as I&C, of course)
We always play with the GQ11 mini expansion. It should be included in the base game IMHO.

Powergrid is on my wife's list of games to try. We have Encore somewhere, but she hid it because my singing is terrible.

How many rivers are there? I can see 3 I think. Also I hope you are using the 12 tile count as opposed to the 1 tile one or wheel of fortune.

Ultimate Stratego looks really interesting. Didn't even know it existed until your picture!
I have to be honest, we tried the 4 players one time and didn't particularly enjoy it. We play standard stratego mostly. Great collection Dirk! Thanks for the photo...
One of the members from my gaming group at work bought Zombicide recently (apparently it's quite expensive) so I'm looking forward to playing that soon.
Thanks! Zombicide was actually our first cooperative game. The components are nice and the artwork is cool. We played it a bunch when we first got it, but other games took over. We don't play it enough to justify getting any of the millions of expansions for it.

The houses in the new version
I'm pretty sure the one with the houses is the old art version. The one without houses has the same grass as the new art tiles, and the houses match the style of the old art houses.
It's hard for me to tell without seeing other tiles surrounding them. I like the houses a bit more. Doris Mattaus is to David Lee Roth as Anne Patzke is to Sammy Hagar.

This reminds me of the kids in the library playing chess when I was in school. Then other kids walk up to the table and yell "Åttans spårvagn!" ("The number 8 tram!" in Swedish) and bump the table so all the pieces fell.
I'll have to teach my son that for when we play Jenga. No one cheats as bad as a 7 year old. The worst thing about Carcassonne is when you run out of table on one side and you have to shift the entire board. Standing farmers would not work.

Both versions look good. The houses in the new version seem to be in some medieval cul-de-sac.
Quick question, how come some spielbox exclusives show up on Cundco.de (halflings) and BGG(flatiron for NY 1901), but others do not (the plague)?

There is no such thing as a standing farmer. Those are just robbers or knights that shifted when somebody accidentally bumped the table or shifted the tiles. Also, I don't mind 4 point farmers as long as we aren't playing with the pig or barn.

I agree. We are going to play a cloister is completed as long as the halfling is on the side of the cloister. We already have a few house rules, so what is one more?

That second halfling would be another tile, that's another 2 points.
These are sooo confusing. I thought when combined they counted as one tile. I just imagined playing with 4 players where each player gets 3 tiles, the odds of getting that tile along with one that can be used with it to help close off a city seems low. When playing with the other set of halflings, there is an additional Halfling that can close off that city. A CCC halfling seems like a weird choice to me.
