Title: Tip for a almost complete collection
Post by: Willem on February 19, 2017, 09:57:06 AM
I found a guy on ebay-kleinanzeigen thats selling a near complete carcassonne collection:
https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/carcassonne-hig-verlag-spielesammlung-mit-vielen-erweiterungen/604199427-23-17344
Ive asked him, but hé doesnt want to sell parts of it seperately.
But for anyone looking for a big collection for a decent price (considering whats in there)...

Maybe we could all chip in a little bit and buy it all together and then redistribute it among the members. To be honest, it doesn't feel terribly expensive, considering what they got.

Dips on the Kathars and Belagerer! :P

1. 10th Anniversary edition
2. Tunnels
3. Cult, Siege and Creativity
4. I'll add GQ and remove Cult, Siege and Creativity

Are for me please.

I'd love to buy and then redistribute but I'm not registered on Germany ebay-Classifieds.  Does he ship to UK?

I'd like to buy the Tunnels, but shipping to the US for just that expansion may not be worth the effort of whoever receives this.

*Edit: To help in this endeavor, also put me down for:
-Die Kornkreise – Winteredition
-Die Windrosen (Spielbox-Variante)
-Der Abt
-Die Belagerer
-"Hütte von Baba Jaga" + "Recke auf Pferd" (not entirely sure what this is but it seems I don't have it)

Maybe interested in:
-Die Berg
-Die Stadt
-Die Schule (for maybe a different color teacher meeple??)
-Graf, König und Konsorten
-Das Katapult (my kids' favorite)

And on standby (since already requested) for:
-Darmstadt
-Spiel 15
-Spiel 14

Wish he had a better picture of the contents. What is the multi-colored item in the lower right for example? Halfling, can you contact him for a better quality picture and post it here? Thanks again for your efforts with this.

I have a cost for the postage and I am checking that the collection will be sent via a trackable courier such as DHL.
Title: Re: Tip for a almost complete collection
Post by: Willem on February 20, 2017, 01:16:31 PM
Great work!
Will be a tough one to divide everything and determine the price for it.
We could make a pricelist for the whole collection, coming to the total costs of it (€345 + shipping) and then post it here?
And do you/we go by first come, first serve? What do you think of it Halfling?
Title: Re: Tip for a almost complete collection
Post by: Halfling on February 21, 2017, 01:38:02 AM
That price assumes that every piece is sold. Until then I am out of pocket. In reality I will be left with some unpopular items such as bridges castles and bazaars. As it stands it looks like I am only shifting about half a dozen or so rarest items.

An alternative would be that I set a reasonable set of prices and then invite offers per item. Those already expressing specific interest being contacted first. An offer over my reasonable price gets the item. Otherwise I move on to the next persons offer.

This does pre suppose that the items arrive and I don't lose €400+

Post by: Willem on February 21, 2017, 05:11:10 AM
It's completely up to you, as you take the risk.
There's 8 base games (in different formats) and 42 expansions (not counting the stickers), so even if you sell everything for 10,- + shipping, you should be able to at least break even soon.
Just about every item on there goes for more than that, so I think it shouldnt be too hard getting your money back from it.
I'd say on ebay etc you should be able to sell most of the things that people here already have.

Again it's totally up to you :)

Post by: DeatzoSeol on February 21, 2017, 08:41:04 AM
Wouldn't it be easier/cheaper to have it sent to somebody in Germany since this guy sells from Germany (who lives in germany? kettlefish? who else?) and they could redistribute it cheaper?
Hell, for the cathars I'm even willing to drive to Germany and pick it up myself!

Ralf has my address and I have asked if I can make payment via paypal.

If you were new to the game that would be one heck of a purchase.   Good luck selling what you do not need.

I'd be up for the little houses and the German monasteries. Maybe even for the jubiläumsspiel.

Unfortunately, the spiel '15 tile has already been claimed.

Weird he doesn't have a Phantom, otherwise I would be interested in that as well.

Merit to you, Halfling!

Can't you just be happy with Darmstadt? We all know how much you love it...

The only thing I would be tempted by is probably either I & C or T & B but it sounds like those have been claimed already so I'll stay quiet. Good luck rehoming everything Halfling! :) :(y)

At this stage I've just expressed an interest. But you have less shipping to deal with so it may work out better for you to get them anyway.

Anyone claimed the Winter edition yet (and the Gingerbread Man and the Winter Kornkreise)? Though i'm not sure yet, it might be cheaper to buy off Cundco. (Other items of interest: the anniversary edition and the wheel of fortune and the river 1 or 2, all of which have unfortunately been claimed  :'( )

Also, Halfling, do you know which items are in what condition? Seems like some items are still shrink-wrapped, others have been played once.

I have agreed a price including postage with Ralf, and the collection has been posted.

I have removed this list on Saturday 25th Feb. as I have now crossed through the provisionally claimed items in the list on page 3 of this thread.

See my edits above. Added this to show my place in line :)

I see now I've been bumped for Tunnels due to an edit, but since it's the guy organizing this, I guess I have no right to complain. If there's any way Halfling that you're willing to give that up, I can buy the others I've listed to help spread the cost.

That's great news.  Thanks to Halfling from the bottom of my heart for making many people even more Carcassonne-addicted and Carcassonne-complete!
And then the million dollar question (or i hope a little bit less than that): what is the cost of every item and what is the shipping costs?

Great work halfling!

Meanwhile if no one has claimed New World yet, I might be interested.

And just one comment on the (machine?) translation:

Love this name. I might just start calling it this from now on.

Hi jungleboy,
The translation was provided by Ralf.

Hi Dan,
Items crossed through as suggested.

Hi thodekey,
I'll start putting together costs once I have a tracking reference from Ralf....seems academic until I'm confident the stash is on it's way and I'm really not €'s out of pocket.

Hi Halfling,
Is it possible to ask for only the crop circle tiles from the mini expansions 1-4? (I'm missing these as I gave them to somebody as gift when I bought the minis.)
Title: Re: Tip for a almost complete collection
Post by: Halfling on February 25, 2017, 01:04:24 AM
Hi Andrew_the_Ambo and Danisthirty,
I'll let you know more about the PC Game/River when the bundle arrives.

Hi Leven,
If I remove the CCII tiles from these 4 mini expansions, it would make these unsellable I would think.  So I am not keen to do this unless someone else will buy the expansions without the CCII tiles.

OK. Then I'd claim the complete Minis 1,2,3 and 4. But if anyone is interested in these without the crop circle tile then he/she can have it.

Greetings.

As new a Carcassonnian - having been gifted the base game for my birthday in January - and as a result, having hooked the entire family too, I am keen to expand my collection.

I have checked the thread, but cannot see which edition of the game these relate to - am I correct in thinking that they are all the first edition?

Welcome to the forums Singing Dwarf! I take it your version of Carcassonne is the new edition?

Interesting to see what was snapped up over the past couple of weeks, and consequently what is left.  Ebay here I come!

My thanks to Willem88 for spotting the original advert and to Erreth, Danisthirty, Wolnic, Anyhotcountry, DeatzoSeol, thodekey, Khonnor, MrNumbers, txema25, Charliesumx, Howdypoopy as well as Willem88(again) for making purchases - also to all those that enquired but didn't ultimately buy anything.

I have basically broken even, made some new contacts, gained 2 items I doubted I'd ever own (10th Anniversary game and The Tunnels) and I'll make my Nephew very happy with Cardcassonne and GQ Expansion on his birthday.

Were there some things that you are still left with to sell on eBay, that you thought would be some of the first things to be snapped up? I was surprised to see The Castle was still there at the end - I thought it was quite rare.

Definitely thought the out of print games The Castle and The Mayflower as well as the Mini's would be snapped up quickly.  That said I know that a lot of players do not rate / or perhaps do not enjoy any of the spin-offs and only play the standard/winter Carcassonne and associated expansions.

I guessed the Halflings would be left.  I am an acquired taste!

To be honest, I really like the Halflings, and was thinking of getting the Halflings 2, because mine are slightly damaged.... But in the end I am very happy with my purchases from it!
When I found it, I emailed the guy, he didnt want to sell it in parts, and I thought that was it. Thinking I could help one person, I never thought we would end up having such a good example of the spirit of this forum!
Halfling, thank you again and again for taking the risk on this! As you're about breaking even and having some stuff for ebay, I reckon you'll make a well deserved profit from it!
I didnt dare to hope I would end up with Darmstadt, the Spiel tiles, the Festival (I have a 10th-anniversary in NL waiting for me, but this was a good opportunity for the Festival) and the Plague!
And seeing how many forummembers are happy to find some good stuff on this, gives a smile! :D

I''m not sure you can put a size on generosity;  I'm sure if you did decide to put them up; whoever claimed them would donate something of equivalent scale!

Apologies Whaleyland I Don't Remember The offer. Any reasonable amount considered. I was originally after £17.50, but I'll take a tenner plus postage to be shot of it.

Send me a PM.
