Not a great photo but here's my latest arrivals from the cundco shop.

freitag and sheriff plus a blank tile sheet.  The optimal purchase for shipping costs.

Gold Rush arrived a few weeks ago, which means my Carcassonne collection is temporarily complete. 8)

As requested, here are some pictures of the tin version of Dig Down Dwarf:

Yardmaster and Yardmaster Express also arrived a few weeks ago. I've been enjoying the iOS version while I waited for the physical stuff to be made.

Earlier in the month I went on a bit of an Amazon Marketplace buying spree, and I'm in the process of having all of my parcels sent to my work because the place where I used to have everything sent is up for sale and I may not be able to continue my arrangement with them after the sale is completed. My co-workers have been giving me a hard time at the number of packages they are having to deliver to my desk. For whatever reason, Amazon Canada switched from UPS to Canada Post back in December, which means my parcels get delivered with the regular mail instead of by courier. :-\

Yesterday I got some industrial paint on my pants that I know won't come out in the wash. I immediately ordered another pair on-line and received them today. ;D

That begs the question of whether a picture of the pants is enough, or if I need to be wearing them in the picture...

Here's an official photo from the manufacturer's marketing materials. I buy my shirts from them too, so I was wearing the exact same shirt at the time.

I alternately wear green pants with a khaki shirt, or navy blue pants with a navy blue shirt when I want people to show me a little more respect. C:-)

Well I suppose the manufacturer's photos are close enough....this time.  But,please tell me you're not wearing the nylon belt that guy is!

I still wear a standard 1.5" leather belt. I don't think I'll switch to a fully nylon belt, but I did back a Kickstarter campaign that was a leather/nylon hybrid. I don't like a lot of stuff in my pockets, so I carry my cell phone, multitools, and flashlight on my belt. The regular, non-reinforced leather belts you buy in a mens'-wear store aren't sturdy enough.

In an attempt to stop thinking about Scott's clothing; I've got something very special to share from Japan:

Our friends at Carcassonne Lab sent three books:

I've only had the briefest of flicks through them, but there are several very interesting topics such as strategies and variants.  I'll need to dig out my trusty translator and work through these slowly.  No doubt I'll share my findings in good time.

Though I'm not suppose to judge a book by its cover, the 3rd book has a glittery cover which is totally unlike anything I've ever seen.  The photo hardly begins to do it justice.  It's spectacular!

As much as anything else I just love how happy everyone looks. I'd be really annoyed if I was playing against that girl on the cover of the book in the middle though. She seems to be celebrating very prematurely considering how many tiles there are left to be played. I hope he wins.

Did you notice that Carcassonne City in the background of the J-books has blue roofs!
Seems that the guys over there did some advanced research on the town. XD
And maybe THIS is the reason why we have that problem with Carc II at the moment.  :o

I'll try and get some photos up tomorrow.  Mainly strategy, but also sections of news and tournament reviews; bits on expansions and various random articles.  The occasional bit of art too.  I particularly like: Road to Completion where the author has categorized when and where he got each expansion ;)

She's got plenty to be happy about,

Or maybe she just drew the CCff card to block the merging of the city.
Or maybe she's drawn a bent road to glom his road.

Or Maybe...it's because her Farmer turned into a Monk and he didn't notice.
