The Wind Roses are prizes for all the members here in the community.
We like to have an active forum where the people talk together.
Some examples for how you can get your very own copy of the "Wind Roses":
- session reports
- pictures of a good game of Carcassonne
- pictures of a game of Carcassonne with wrong placed tiles, where other members have to search for the mistake
- the collaborative expansions
- interesting questions about the rules
Not all members need to wait till CundCo will have the "Wind Roses" in their Shop.
Many people around the world can't go to the events from "Carcassonne-on-Tour".
Now we have our own "Carcassonne-on-Tour" here in the forum.

Even at the "Carcassonne-on-Tour" events the people have to do some activities if they like to have a Wind Rose.
Please members don't send me your addresses and wishes to have a Wind Rose if you were never or almost never active in this community.
This action is something to join the Carcassonne fans world wide and that the people talk together in the community.
I tell you here in this thread who gets one Wind Rose because of his / her active work in the forum of CarcassonneCentral.
We decide together (Scott, the other global Moderators and me) who gets the Wind Roses.

My Wind Roses arrived today - thank you everyone! I'm very honoured that you chose to send me a copy. Now my Carcassonne collection is complete... until the next expansion ;)

I likewise received my copy yesterday. Thank you to all the administrators and moderators for this gift. I'll happily reimburse kettlefish (or the appropriate person) for the shipping costs involved if permitted to do so.
I even got my wife to agree to play a game of it with me last night, since she knew how excited I was to receive it. We just used the Wind Roses and the base game, which made for the quickest game we've played in ages. Unfortunately (for her and me), I won 133 to 113. But she does like the simplicity of the Wind Roses mechanic and seems willing to use that expansion again. Her only complaint was that it would be fun to have more Wind Rose tiles in the expansion (which JPutt addressed in one of his uploads). Here's a pic of our final board.

....and now it's arrived!! That was really quick. Postage from UK address to UK takes longer than that!! Thank-You so much for this. I will add some comments once we've had a go, likely to be this weekend.
Obviously it only has the German rules with it, but this was easily solved as I found that it's already within the Annotated rules! So I've done a copy & paste job and got it all neat and tidy on a single A5 sheet, printed complete with diagrams. An excellent job all round.

My copy also arrived yesterday. Thank you kettlefish, it arrived in perfect condition. Unlike Lord Wishmaster, I will not get a chance to play it until after the weekend as I am tied up at a motor racing event.

We appreciate that some of you are eager to get your hands on this expansion, but please do not send your address to kettlefish unless she asks for it. If anything, that could hurt your chances of being selected. Recipients are selected based on forum activity. Contribute enough good posts, and we'll notice.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded it but then I saw it was 267 pages so there is no way I will print it out. Fortunately I can read pdfs on my kindle. It takes a second to load a page when I use the goto page function but that is ok with me. I also put on it the rules to the fan-made expansions and my variant on the kindle as well. I find it easier to carry instead of a bunch of print out rulebooks. Plus I can always be able to read a book between games.

GOT MY COPY YESTERDAY! This is awesome!
As BT and other have said, thank you Kettlefish (and the community at large) for this, especially considering I haven't been on the site for very long.
My next game of Carcassonne will mark the first time I use both WINDROSES and BOOTK. I would have neither of these expansions in my possession if it wasn't for this awesome community, so thanks again. I will be sure to post pictures when that game occurs.

I got rather excited when I realised what the envelope was, though the post office staff must have I was crazy! Oh wait - they know me so they already knew that! :-)
I'm getting a bit of a nice collection of German rules for the game. Though I tend to find that my German language skills are at their best when everything is written in English! :-)

It was a fan-meeting with Klaus-Juergen Wrede and the Carcassonne-on-Tour.
