IP themed Carcasonne
« on: July 04, 2017, 01:30:35 PM »
Not quite sure if this belongs in general or variant workshop (though its not being worked on).

We have Star Wars themed Carcassonne, but would you want more? I had a thought of Legend the Zelda themed version. Monostaries could be ranches. Castles could still be castles, or maybe villages.  Roads would probably be more dirt themed. If they wanted to get extra fancy, they could have the meeples be shaped like the different races, although it'll be sad to deter from the classic shape.

you can always use stickers!

I'll be honest...I'm surprised you didn't consider: Dr Who

Stickers on my carc? Never. It came from someone saying they'll buy every Zelda themed game, and my mind drifted toward Carc, would be a good way to get more people into the hobby also. As for Doctor Who, we already have a space carc, and I can't really think of anything to utilize the ip with, unless theres some sort of time travel mechanic.

I meant meeple-stickers like the ones in Carc:StarWars.

Also... how much time travelling does the Doctor actually do....during in episode?

It really depends on the episode, sometimes none, like abosolutely none, and sometimes too much. I'd say the average is 1-3 times, to get to the place and back, whichever.

excluding the start and end of the episode, I don't think he does it much at all!

Interestingly, I released a time-travelling expansion entitled:  German Time Machines for last year's Advent Calendar.  Could be the paradoxical havoc you were looking for  :(y)

I'm really surprised, there is still no Cthulhu-Carcassonne (yet). Sure, it's just a matter of time. Not, that I'm looking forward to it, but about as much as to the Star Wars one.

Sure, forgot about that one. But it's not an official KJW/HiG spin off, like I was thinking about.
