Youve made a big mistake rosco :(

You think? This is the best thing he could have done to boost the value of a currently worthless farmer by 9 points (possibly 12 or more). What's more the tile he needs to join the farm is being sought by 2 players (me and him) and there is no way of blocking it as it's surrounded.

I'd say that's an excellent move!  :(y)

I'm not taking it too seriously; anything can indeed happen, especially when it's a 5-player game!

He made it very easy for yellow to take over the entire farm without rosco scoring anything

Yellow is trying to get on the farm now already with 2 meeples. with the city you and dan almost share you can simply add a farmer to that field. Im sure every next person will try to do this except for mister numbers because he needs that tile to keep dan out of the big city.

At this moment of the game the farmers are the most valuable followers in this game. So its gonna be a hard race now haha

A little road trick :)

With both fffr tiles gone, Yellow will have to work very hard indeed to get either of his two adjacent farmers onto the field currently occupied by Green. There is now a very easy way on to this farm which we've all spotted, but I don't see why this is an advantage to Yellow in particular?

I would have loved to have made the most of this for myself but there wasn't much I could do with the frrr tile I drew other than join my farmer (and MrNumbers' farmer) onto a shared farm with Yellow and claim 2 points for the road in the process.

Anyway, here goes, enjoy the photo:

And one of the new score track, with scores represented by the new Abbot meeples:

PS - I forgot to add Green's knight on the "unclaimed" city tile 2 tiles to the west of my cloister. Sorry about that!

Apparently it's a lot colder in my garage than I realised. Look what happened to my tiles!

Haha, merit for you for your efforts. I wonder if you guys can drag this game out long enough so that someone can eventually switch it to Carcassonne 2.0.

So I was joking when I wrote this 11 days ago...

Very nice. While you're at it, what are the Abbot rules? I already know I'll by them OEM if I can get them.

The Abbot rules in the original German rule book are "wrong". The rules were not clear enough.
HiG has much work to do.

I can only guess that this explains why Z-Man hasn't released the version yet. Or have they? I find it funny that they advertise better and more clear rules with this expansion, yet they already botched that. When kettlefish criticizes Hans im Glück, you KNOW something's wrong. I don't like the scoreboard either. The tiles are okay, but the scoreboard looks too basic and boring.

Do you know if the Abbot meeples will be available separately from HiG?

The scoreboard for 2.0 looks OK. Can't say I ever paid attention to any version of it.
However, they should know by now that the game, even if just the base one, needs a larger score count tracker, rather than having us rely on extra score tiles and whatnot.

It's my turn is it? Maybe I'll wait a few days, see what else you can come up with, for my next move.

I planted that last tile in hope of getting the cloister with a road and following two player turns were just those. This pretty much ruins any chance I have getting in on the farm action.
World record holder for a single game of Carcassonne using 10 007 tiles!
