Title: New expansions in old artwork
Post by: Elfew on February 25, 2016, 05:08:03 AM
In our Czech forum we have a good designer - he transformed Abbot and Gingerman expansion into old blue Carcassonne theme. They look amazing

It is only a preview... these titles are made by @Chmura - PLEASE do not upload these files without author permissions. They are available for free to everyone at www.carcassonneforum.4fan.cz

@Elfew - it isn't immediately obvious to me as I don't understand the language, but can you confirm whether there are still downloads taken directly from Carcassonne Central without the authors permission and made available via www.carcassonneforum.4fan.cz even though we asked Eldenroot not to?

@danisthirty - of course! As far as I know, all attachments were deleted and this forum is now under moderation. Into every thread a table with info was added with URL link to the original post + name of the author. Only separated CZE rules stayed here, everything else can be downloaded only from your website (Carcassonne central) when user click on the URL link in a thread, he is redirected to the thread about expansion where everything can be find.

I am enclosing how it looks like. Do you agree with this? I hope it fits to your requirements...

From my perspective, It looks like Eldernroot is quite happy to offer alternative downloads without reference when it came to a creation Danisthirty and I recently uploaded here at Carcassonne Central:

http://www.carcassonneforum.4fan.cz/Thread-Rozsireni-Expansion-Patron-saints-of-Great-Britain-and-Northern-Ireland

It's obviously not under much moderation if the moderator is doing this.

It wouldn't have taken much to ask, it's unlikely I or myself would have said no.

Thank you Elfew for reporting this (+1 to you).  I can see it has now been removed.  Like I said, I'm sure Dan and I would have happily shared the download with anyone who asked.

In the german carcassonne-forum.de we have 4 different downloads for the Abbot of Carcassonne II for the original Carcassonne.

First like in Carcassonne II a garden with flowers
Second a garden with different herbs (like a cloister-garden)
Third a garden with fruit trees.
All these are to be played with the Abbot figure of Carcassonne II

But what if you don't want to buy Carcassonne II only for the Abbots?

Fourth variant: a garden with fruit trees but for a female gardener (see the watermark). Just take the woman-follower (messenger) of mini-expansion 2 The Messenger. The gardener can be placed on a cloister or on a garden and may be taken back any time you don't place a follower.
If you want to play with the gardens and the messages just take a spare follower extra on the scoreboard.

Yes, I'm so happy with our four Abbot options on CarcF. We had quite a big discussion on what the classical version of the Gardens should look like, so the author kindly offered to publish all four versions.

Still, I also like the Idea of the Czech Forum!

Wow, these german downloads look really cool!

Is there any way to download them without having to register on the german forum?

I cannot speak German, could you please point me to the thread in your German forum? I have already registered. I am just curious because preview looks really nice.

Unfortunately this is only the corresponding thread in the expansion workshop. Here is the link to the thread with the final download:
