I wasn't a fan of Beees, it did look fun, but I didn't see it lasting more than a few plays.

At least Grimm Forest ends next month

I can't understand why they don't schedule the campaings to end around the end or at the very beggining of each month, just when the suckers like me still have spend money available.

Worse now I need to get off some BGG subscriptions, just got noticed that Saloon Tycoon is getting an expansion and Snowdale Design is launching a standalone game, Dawn of Peacemakers set in the same universe than Dale of Merchants both to be released this year through KS.

Beeeees was at unpub. I didn't play the updated version as I new we were already buying it. The creator was trying to show off a new word game. My son has reading difficulty, so we didn't give that a go.

The Grimm Forest looks good, but we have Stone Age and we have already agreed to buy Sailing Towards Osiris. We are full up on worker placement, tile laying, abstract, dexterity, programmed card movement, and set collection games. I won't be kickstarting anything else unless I am blown away by a new mechanic.

I talked to Robert Couch, but he didn't share any info about the expansion other than it was "in the works". I am surprised that more info is available from BGG. Maybe he didn't work on it. Who knows? Anyway, they can have my money.

Even without playing with the (modifiers) Friend and Fable cards at the beggining it does seem as time well spent.

So have you backed The Grimm Forest? I just checked it out for the first time and it looks cool, but this might be another one to let you get and invite me to play.

Royal Decree Design Contest Winners

Mike D - Hive Mind: Each player chooses a tile color before play begins. Players all build the same hive. Whoever’s color has the most touching points wins the game.

Sybrwookie - Pollinated: You may place 1 of your helper bees on 1 tile as you claim the tile. All flowers that tile helps create are worth 2 points each.

C Dennett - Looking Out for #1 / Bee Selfish: - If you have 0 Helper Bees at the end of this game, you get 4 bonus points.

More than the art its the theme itself that doesn't make me back this on the spot.

The mechanics and the campaign side of it hit all the notes but I'm not that much into fighting skeletons and sorcerers, that being said.....
