I'm currently watching, Fields of Green, especially after viewing Rahdo's play through (video is imbedded in KS page).

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/241478362/fields-of-green?ref=hero_thanks

BGG page: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/200954/fields-green

I love a good farming theme, like Agricola etc., (All Creatures Great and Small, being a particular quick play favourite).

There is a tile laying aspect to Fields of Green that is a little beyond just creating a tableau, it seems to matter where a tile is placed but this isn't the primary game mechanism. From what I can see it has been described as a 7 Wonders meets Agricola. It also looks to be a spin off version of (or very influenced by) Among the Stars, (of which i have no experience).

Wanna play Carc? Can we add just one more expansion?

There are still 5 days left to join the Meeple Source Kickstarter

I think a few people here may be interested in the new:
  • Male and Female Stone Meeple Age Sets
  • Characters & Horses for Colt Express
  • Near & Far Characters
  • Sets of 8 Characters for Scythe

Meeple Source have let me know they will soon have a draft of our Forum's Mascot too!

I got in on this.  It would be a perfect stocking stuffer, but it will come much too late for that.

Sagrada was funded on the first day yesterday. It's a beautiful game where you draft translucent colourful dice to build stained-glass windows, gaining points by fulfilling public and secret objectives.

Here's Rahdo's Runthrough:

Another project I've backed is Board Game Bowls, really nice bowls to hold game pieces in three different sizes and with different themes. I'm going for the starter bundle with the medieval theme.

Sagrada looked interesting from the gencon coverage.

I've not been enjoying Rahdo's videos so much recently - I get the feeling he's having to churn out a lot of content now and doesn't enjoy half the games he plays.  I started watching this video last night and fell asleep, so hopefully it's better!

Other honourable mentions:
Super Hack Override:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/weirdgiraffegames/super-hack-override-pocket-sized-strategic-card-ga

A very quick strategic card game for $10 - I've been quite impressed with Weird Giraffe Games approach given this is their first kickstarter.

I would have backed it even without Rahdo's runthrough, I just added it for people who wanted to get an idea of the gameplay. I really like the theme, the way your window will look at the end of the game, the dice drafting and the way the dice create make your window etc. It also looks like there's a lot of replayability which will hopefully be increased even more if SGs include more objective cards and tool cards (which seems to be pretty likely).

I am über interested in Unfair, which is an amusement-park builder game with gorgeous art and high praise from its reviewers. I worked at an amusement park for around a decade semi-seasonally, so it hits a special place in my heart. It also has free shipping to New Zealand, which is a hard fact to ignore. And lots of stretch goals have been achieved. But the partner says no...hmmm....

Pentaquark is an interesting Solo-card game with ~18 cards, with just 21hours left on the clock:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/239309591/pentaquark-a-solo-microgame-in-a-quantum-state

Postage is a little expensive, but if anyone in the UK fancies a copy perhaps we can split costs, let me know!

If I bought games based on partner approval, The Little Prince would be the only game I own!  :green-meeple:

Just for fun, since Chooselife started this thread and forced me into Kickstarter, this is what I have backed:

- The Butterfly Garden (arrived)
- Medici (arrived, sort of - it's at Danisthirty's house)
- Saloon Tycoon (arrived this week at a friend's place in France)
- Steam Court (arrived this week at a friend's place in France)
- Dragon Keeper: The Dungeon (pickup at Essen)
- Biergarten
- Zen Squire (x2, one for a gift for the team of a paleography project that I do some work on)
- House of Borgia
- Santorini
- Hoard
- Pack o Games 2
- Escape: Curse of the Temple - Big Box 2
- Dwarves in Trouble
- Henchmen
- Herbaceous
- Sagrada
- Board Game Bowls (this is still on so I'm still not sure if I will keep this pledge or not)

In a couple of months I will be without a job (by choice) so I think I will stop buying games for a bit. Or at least cut back dramatically from the madness of this year.
