Yes I am

I saw Ave Roma but it didn't appeal to me much straight away. I looked at the board and it looked like one of those over complicated games that I don't usually go for. Plus I just got Colosseum this week, just ordered Aqua Romana and I'm still hoping that Lex Arena produces a limited number of copies as they said they would! So I think I have my Roman fill for now

Yeah, it's easily the most backed board game project I've seen in my (short) KS 'career'. The mini-expansion is the next SG which will be unlocked in a day or two. I wonder what it will be?

A few interesting things that hit Kickstarter this week:

Larklamp
It's a lantern that you place in the centre of your table and the slides in the four side panels of the lantern cast shadows to create game boards. The KS comes with the lantern itself and the first game, and the idea is that more games will be created each year using different panels to create different boards. I don't think it's for me but I still think it's a genius idea.

Ravingspire
"A deck-building, rotating-dungeon boardgame of Swords, Sorcery and Madness." Almost 5x funded already. I love the board and the rotation ability so I'm intrigued but it's $100 if shipping outside North America. Also I wish they would upgrade the tokens and dice.

Ilios
Abstract strategy game that has a really nice looking deluxe edition with a wooden board and wooden tiles. Plus shipping to North America or the EU is included in the pledge level.

I took my family to the Unpub convention today. We got to play some future kickstarter games in their beta format. My wife and son played "Made from Scratch" which was put on kickstarter a few days ago and really enjoyed it. My son and I played Robert Couch's (maker of Saloon Tycoon) new robot themed game and we really enjoyed it.

It was cool trying out new games before they even hit Kickstarter. Some designers don't like Kickstarter because they don't make any money until the game gets a second printing.

We also met one of the board with life you tubers and tried his monster game.

The Golden Fleece for Santorini doesn't look fantastic - I can see some of the modifiers breaking mechanically.

Tallinn - It's not on Kickstarter so people might miss it but it was included in the BGG crowdfunding round-up this week which is how I found it.

It's a 2-4 player card game for €10, with two expansions for a total of €23, or with a third 5-6 player expansion for a total of €29.

Santorini ends in 16 hours. It has over CAN$600,000 in funding so far!

They had their best day of the campaign yesterday with more than 85K not sure they will top that on the last hours.
Just got to my top3 most anticipated till the end of the year.

On the last week holidays I got the chance to play the recently fulfilled Kodama I'll post a review at the first chance.

4 interesting additions:
Blend Off! - It looks a bit chaotic to play but usually augments the fun. Also seem fun to play with the kids.
Super Hazard Quest How many hours did I lost on 8bit afternoon frenzies. The concept is great but I'm not sure if the mechanics will make it work.
Dale of Merchants 2 - Was not aware of the first installment but it looks like nice. There are still plenty of vacancies for the Base plus Expansion/Standalone pledge.
Vanuatu 2nd Edition - Love the theme and graphics but it might be too much complicated for the wife so it reduces the chance of ever getting to play it.
