I just backed Dragon Keeper and paid the extra €20 for the cool dragon (so a €45 pledge). It just unlocked its fourth stretch goal and I think all four are pretty cool and two are exclusive to KS. Plus, I get to pay the least amount for shipping because I can have it shipped to friends who live in France but work in Geneva.

So, since you tricksters got me into this KS thing last week, I've now backed three games (Dragon Keeper, Lex Arena and Medici) and I'm really happy about all of them (though Lex Arena might not get funded).

Jungleboy are you sure you  had never backed anything on Kickstarter? You seem like a Pro.
I'm guessing that I'll be on your wife blacklist really soon.... ;D ;D ;D

From my latest checking some new interesting projects have appeared:
Explorers of the North Sea - Viking exploration by tile laying. Seems nice but the All-In price is huge.

Villages of Valeria Village building card game. Mechanics seem simple, art looks really good and at 22€ per full copy with shipping to Europe is fair enough.
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he today that sheds his blood with me, Shall be my brother;

Haha, you might already be there...

The all-in price is not quite so bad once you realise it's New Zealand dollars instead of US dollars. So it's about €51 including shipping which is not terrible.

This one looks quite nice, and Rahdo loves it. I'll give it some thought but I might need to control myself a bit here.  O0

The All-In price I see is 153Eur for the Conqueror Worldwide pledge. It's a trilogy so you "need" to find the completionist in you.  :)) :)) :))

Nevertheless Shipwrights and Raiders are in fact standalones so the full pledge on Explorers would be the base game and the Rune expansion for 73Eur

I missed the first game.

Forgot to back the second.  Which looked really cool and got great reviews.

Now you're telling me the 3rd game is a tile laying game.....  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

I need to remortgage.

Ahh OK, I was just looking at the worldwide price for just Explorers with no expansion.

I think the boat pieces are really cool, but the tiles seem very basic to me (and I say that as a lover of the simplicity of the design of Carcassonne I), so I'm not tempted. There are similar tiles in Fjords if you want a simple little game.

There's about 30 minutes left on the Dragon Keeper kickstarter campaign. They need €123 more for the final stretch goal (spot UV on the game box). The minimum pledge is €25 (shipping extra), and €20 more if you want the metal dragon.

So get backing! The box itself becomes a three-storey dungeon - what else do you need in a game??  O0 O0

You've created a monster! Meanwhile dragon keeper passed the last stretch goal with €9 to spare. SO now I don't have to feel bad about reducing my pledge by €5 this afternoon when someone pulled out of the early bird :)

Tight campaign!  Good luck, hope it all goes to plan.  When are they planning on delivering?

September, so I should get it right about the same time that I get the busload of games that you and Dan are bringing to Essen for me :)

Of all the physical kickstarters I've backed only 1 has been on time and another was actually 2 months early.  If they've started production you should be lucky, but don't be surprised if it arrives a few month late.

BGG has a weekly blog highlighting the new games that have just started their kickstarter campaign as well as the ones that are about to end, so its a good way to get an idea of what's out there without having to wade through it all yourself on KS. There's a nice little write-up for Lex Arena this week.

Well I just backed Tiny Epic Western. Was indecise but with solo play and a fair price it seem like good compromise.
