Hi,
here are some impressions from the SPIEL.
Kettlefish is ill and couldn't write at the moment.
I went there yesterday and met Kettlefish, MrNumber, Ratz65, Strix and Udo (from CC-on-tour).
I met the first three mentioned above at the CundCo booth long before our meeting time. We had a short chat and MrNumbers gave Kettlefish and me a present.
A wonderful Meeple-Pictureframe with a picture of his home town Riga.
Thanks a lot MrNumbers!!!A standard meeple as a comparison.
At our meeting time we six have waited 15 minutes because a few other members had announced to come, but unfortunately they didn't come.
So we went to a nerby restaurant and in the gaming zone. Udo brought one game of Goldrush and one New Edition and some cookies to eat.
All of the cookies went quickly into our stomach
... not all, because otherwise I couldn't make the following picture this morning ;-)
Than we had a look at the new edition. I must say that the details are very pretty, but the colors ... a lot of discussion takes place in both forums.
We had a test play of Goldrush. I think we (we testplayers) all could agree, that this is a good game with some interesting new mechanism.
At approx. 2 pm we separated and I went with Strix to the "Settlers of Catan" booth to get a special promo-card with an autograph of Klaus Teuber (the author of the game).
After we got one I went on a shopping tour through the halls on my own.
Now 4 pictures with impressions of the fair are following - 2 of them have nothing to do with CC ;-)The first picture is from the booth of the scottish Lamont Brothers (Fragor Games). They are selling their new game Dragonscroll.
There was a pre-order time for 1000 games which I missed due to a vacation in Sweden. So I was lucky to get one of the approx. 250 copies they sold without pre-order.
At lunch time (2 hours from opening time) they are sold out - which means they only sell the pre-ordered games from that time on.
A giant puzzle for those who wants to do some other things than playing CC. But you need a lot of time and space (approx. 544 x 192 cm).
I think the puzzle is deliverd with a small handcart (no joke).
The puzzle is set together from the visitors of the fair.
A picture of the contents of the "Hans im Päckchen" Box
A picture of the CundCo-Shop booth.
I took the picture in the late afternoon approx. 1 hour before closing time.
During the whole day there were long waiting lines from both sides. So I think they have sold a lot yesterday.
That's it.
When I'm right, all of us 6 test-players forgot to take pictures of the meeting/test-playing
Sorry.
