That's great - but I thought it was Dan :(

Sorry, I was quoting Back to the Future for my picture.

I am unfamiliar with B-Sieged so I will have to check out the reviews.

Great Scott!

Oh cool, I've ordered the Delorean but it hasn't arrived yet. Plus I don't own the actual game yet.  ???

dirk2112, what game is that from? I am a huge Back To The Future fan :)

Colt Express.

JungleBoy already answered you, but I was just going to say check out the reviews on YouTube to see if Colt Express is right for you.  It is pseudo programmatic and that turns some people off.  Any strategy you have can quickly go out the window.  We really enjoy it.  I will say that the game plays ok with 3 people, but it definitely gets better the more people you add.  Its one of the few games where no one seems to mind finishing in last place.

I am unfamiliar with B-Sieged so I will have to check out the reviews.

The game was presented as a strategic tower defence game, played over a certain number of rounds.  The first reviews suggested the game was punishing and certain monsters were hard to beat, and impossible to beat if certain other events occurred.  The suggestion was it's very hard to plan ahead.

I've not read the rules in great detail, but most CMON games are very simple.  I've not read the FAQ that has 'nerfed' the baddies to make the game easier.  It has also introduced a difficulty setting too, so the game is meant to be more flexible.

I liked the look of the scalable solo mechanics. Even if the game is terrible...I got a lot of minis  :(y) :(y)

So pleased to see this becoming the first post at Carcassonne Central to receive more than 1000 replies! I hadn’t intended it to become what it quickly turned into after I posted my image of Gold Rush and Carc 2.0 back in October 2014. But I’m so glad that it has done as it’s included so many fantastic photos of bits and pieces that have been delivered to members all over the world, and has provided so many of us with the opportunity to share, show off and get excited about our latest arrivals!

Great work guys; now let’s push for 2000! :) :(y)

So many puns... Like this gone "post"-al. And that has been post-punned for a long time. But now it's post-tense.
World record holder for a single game of Carcassonne using 10 007 tiles!

Glad to here you've been getting packages!  We always like seeing a photo though ;)  If for no other reason we can check your decor out and sometime we see accidental variations that those pesky completionists need :(
Well critiques of décor won't happen because it rarely features in any photos I take (mostly I don't do it because I usually post with Tapatalk and I see it often leaves the photo in raw origin size huge x huger... And nobody needs to see that)
Whatever it is, it's probably in the post from Germany...

Aww, but we'd love to see your trippy 1970s carpets!  I use an application called Image Resizer (android), which quickly lets you scale photos you've taken, it automatically saves it as a new file too, without overwriting the old one. Extremely easy to use.  You can also add a width= parameter to the img tags.  I usually try 500.  Makes my massive 5MB photos -- 500kb instead.

Today it was this.

A knight is sworn to valour.
His heart knows only virtue.
His blade defends the helpless.
His might upholds the weak.
His word speaks only truth.
His wrath undoes the wicked.

Recently I decided that the next thing that I "needed" for my collection was to find all of the tiles which have had changes in watermarks over different releases.

I already had a few bits, but the big thing that I needed to track down were old copies of the first four major expansions before they were watermarked. I thought that this would be a fun challenge which might take me a few weeks of browsing around, contacting sellers, etc.

So it was with a mix of pleasure and a small twinge of disappointment that I found them all in the first BoardGameGeek listing that I looked at! Someone was selling their old collection and had all four of those expansions in their unwatermarked form. More than that, because they were unboxed, without rules and being sold in a bundle it was all very reasonably priced!

Here is the haul of tiles (which also included King & Robber Baron):
