Last Week's Cundco order has landed - many new toys to play with now :)

Good good. Any photos/ eye-candy for the rest of us?

Nothing exciting Mr Thirsty (sic) sir. Just hoovering up what I can in the "heritage" artwork before prices go silly :)
<huuuuuuuuuuuge pictures deleted>

Oh jeez! That was a bit of an error in sizing :s

Spielbox: HiG Almanach (with Kultstätte)
Abbey & Mayor / Abtei & Burgermeister
Count, King & Robber / Graf, König und Konsorten
Minis 1-6
De Kloosters
Die Windrosen
Halb so Wild II
Klöster in Deutschland
Count single tile/ Starttableau
Castles in Germany / Burgen in Deutschland

More bits still flying through the postal system :)

Whatever it is, it's probably in the post from Germany...

You've certainly made short work of catching up on the classic Carc stuff. Well played sir! 8)

I recieved my wooden box version of The City, 2 copies of tunnels and 1 Copy of cathars.  I also recieved a kickstarter game I backed a year ago.

TRAINMAKER
It is designed by Jason Glover
We have had a quick play through and it is a very straight forward dice and cards game.  It is good fun and I think it will have a lot of use.

I thoroughly recommend Jason Glover's games.
Just lay the damn tile!

The city was €20, and the others were almost free when you consider selling the other bits I got with them

...The city was €20...
Where?

Yeah, €20 for the City with the wooden box is a steal. Meanwhile I'm still waiting for the City 2.0; maybe it will come out now just after you got the original.  >:D

I'm wondering about that small expansion. Is it worth it?

I don't know yet - not played with it, but given it only cost me €7 delivered its a shot to very little.

edit: I see it has changed at Nostheide from 5 copies per order allowed to 1 copy. Perhaps they are running really short now? (This isn't me trying to pretend it is about to be "unavailable")

The Plague has received its fair share of criticism, so certainly there are quite a few people who don't like it. Although I must say that I'm not one of them: I think it's pretty cool. Reading the Plague thread in the Element of the Week series should give you a better idea of whether you think you'll like it.

Like the Catapult, it is an expansion for special occasions and doesn't really play well with others.

Thanks Jungleboy, the theme itself speaks to me, so I just ordered it anyway. I like a bit of chaos  >:D and I'm always positive when looking at mixed reviews.

Cool, I hope you like it! I've played it a couple of times by itself and enjoyed it. Maybe now it's time to add a few expansions/elements that look like they could complement it such as magic portals, fliers, tunnels and little buildings. Maybe even Wheel of Fortune could work with it?
