Paul, do you keep all your games you buy or do you have a shop in your backroom you move stuff into?

Looks like you've got some great stuff - a photo of the games collection might be a nice new thread:

"I love my games collection"

Most of the boxes are kept in storage and it's content in toolboxes or tackle boxes. Probably a good idea to make a permanent room for it all as suggested. We'll see. Selling off more LEGO would certainly give me enough room!

As for selling the board games, I don't think so. :) Unless I get offers. Most of the games has already been unboxed and prepped for game nights, which I hope this summer will give us some photo opportunities. This Saturday is a game night, for example.
World record holder for a single game of Carcassonne using 10 007 tiles!

People on the BGG Facebook group are always posting them. I must see at least 3 or 4 a day, of various sizes. Some people are proud to own just a couple of dozen games whereas others have literally hundreds on display. Even if I had that many games, I don't think I'd ever have the space to display them all! :o

Yes. I thought my LEGO was taking up a lot of space but board games are just as bad. Also, the different box sizes and sometimes unnessecary big or comes in a shape that makes Tetris Shelf Edition look easy. :)

But, it's like we say here in Gothenburg: "Det får alltid plats mer folk i spårvagnen!" ("There's always room for more people on a tram cart!")

Avalon Roma is a great little store with a nice Carcassonne 1 collection.

I thought long and hard about what my purchase was going to be and in the end I settled on this:

Hopefully it will be a lot of fun!

jungleboy, I will have to check out that store next time I am in Rome. The location looks fairly central with a Metro stop near by. Are there other game stores in the central area?

Be careful not to disclose the location of that store to Paul. He'd scoop all of that up without pausing for breath... :@

Avalon is easy to get to, it's north of the river not far from the Vatican, near the Lepanto and Ottaviano metro stops. We walked from the centro storico because walking in Rome is one of life's great pleasures and because there were a couple of other (non-game) stores nearby that we wanted to visit. I'm not sure about any other game stores in the centre; this one seemed like the best one when I did a quick search a couple of weeks ago. The whole catalogue is online too, which is very handy.

Not so much local store but even better ! There was a local fair here in Bremen and a nice flea market for boardgames;

I could sell some of the never played games I own and I made myself happy :) Hard to say what are my favourite games !

There was also a carcassonne tournament to qualify for the german national championship but it was in the same time as a Dominion tournament, my heart balanced quite a long time but I'm better at Dominion so that was it.

Carcassonne Fan since 2014

Carcassonne Mayflower / A New World. Nice! This will haunt me for the rest of my life not buying it when I had the chance.

Paul, do you not have a copy of New World? It was available from a UK seller a couple of months ago, I bought it just before Christmas. I can find you the link if you like? I also see it or Mayflower popping up relatively often on eBay.
