Sure, but until you have the needle shaped box the rest is meaningless.

Even more rare than the needle box is the edition of Carcassonne that comes with a scooter registration card.
My stuff: The Caverns of Carcassonne | Wheel of Fortune versions | True North (wind roses) | Icon facelifts | Converting CII to CI | Signposts & the Château | The Vault | Riverboats & the Whirlpool | trade list

Received these on Saturday and got Photosynthesis played at work today.

Photosynthesis. Last phase of the first round, 4 players

If you're not aware of Photosynthesis, it is a abstract game with gorgeous production. The sun moves around the board as players seed and place trees on a shared board. Sun points are gathered by the trees which in turn are reinvested (organically) into more and bigger trees. In turn, trees collect points at the end of their 'life cycle'. Watch out for shady spots and shady opponents that take the sunlight with crafty plantings!

What's neat is the designers have managed to work resource management into an abstract ... brilliant, at least I thought so!

Initial impression. I really enjoyed our 1st play, (4 player). Very much an abstract game, (that might fool some into thinking its not). It is a relatively lengthy game and a little more involved than quick light abstracts, (like the Gigamic line - which I love). So this might only have the staying power for genre fans.

Past that and for my taste this is excellent. Can't speak to player count yet, our only 4 player game made for a relatively tight feeling game board and the end score was 77 - 74 - 42 - 39. That is quite the gap in points. We were all 1st time players with varying game experiences. Look forward to more and updating thoughts.

Not sure about 1st player advantage in a 4 player game with 3 rounds. With four, players 1 & 2 will go first 5 times and players 3 & 4 will go first 4 times - regardless of that all players get to play the same amount of turns in the game.

There is a couple of variants, one with adding a 4th round. In this case all players go 1st 6 times, but the game is lengthy as it is so might be best with the BGG suggested - best with 3 players.

Wanna play Carc? Can we add just one more expansion?

Unfortunately, we don't see the pictures, franks. Maybe because you didn't allow them to be shared from your google account?

With or without pictures, I understand that Photosynthesis is a great game  :(y) Nice write up.
I have seen it laying out over the table at a close boardgameshop. So it made me already a bit curious

Hmmm, I usually share from my Pinterest account and I'm having some new issues loading there off my Mac and don't see how to share off Google other than picking specific accounts.

A time ago, I told I got my hands on Carcassonne Halb so Wild 2. But after nothing heard about it and two months later I sent them a message they didn't had Halb so Wild 2 anymore. But they were just holding on my order...... :'(..... So I only got Halb so Wild 1 wich isn't here yet  :'( :'( :'(

But I found a cheap alternative who was eager to sell it to me and today I received it :D :D

Also I got my hands on The Games Quarterly Expansion so I decided a little puzzle. Something is wrong with it.... who can find my stupid fault as first?  :red-meeple:

Edit: The puzzle was moved by Decar MrNumbers to another thread  :-\
