If the French accept a Canadian, why would the British refuse? We are politically much closer: The Queen is our head of state. (...not that I agree!)

The direct flight I saw a couple of weeks ago much be too expensive now...

Maybe we could just call it the European Championships, since the reason I'm going is there to begin with is for the European Games. Even though it doesn't really appear as though Azerbaijan is actually in Europe.

I've been wondering about this & if you win in Paris and Birmingham would you have to play yourself at Essen?

I think I've used all my luck already to win in Lille so I'd say it's impossible.

Flight is still affordable... "only" 26 euros more than a few weeks ago but I will be applying for a visa around that time so it's wiser not to plan any other trips. Moreover, my trip to Paris is already quite expansive (bloody Thalys!!) so I decided to skip Birmingham. Have fun there!

I am considering going and taking my wife and child. We would probably just come for the Sunday but are open to suggestions. What would other people recommend.
