The Wind Roses is a special expansion from "Carcassonne-on-Tour".
You can get it only at fan conventions.
In the middle of this year HiG will sell it at their CundCo Shop

This is what I had posted here and there...

We have to wait....

Ok thanks. This will prevent me from paying 30 bucks on Ebay for this expansion.

I think, a price for the Wind Roses at the CundCo Shop should be between 3-5 Euro.

Perhaps, but shipping to the US is very expensive.  :(

I'm in talks with HiG to get this is in the Shoppe when the tour is done. Believe it or not, but there is less red tape since ZMG took over the English market ;D

Note that the school is currently not available; "Teachers" have run out us! We are happy of course, that you all support the project "Rainbow over Ghana" so much however; we ask you to you exercise some patience. The school should be about middle / end April be available again.

G'day Guys,

Carcassonne - The School is now available at €2.99 from www.cundco.de (http://www.cundco.de/shop/?tx_dkdshop%5Bcategory%5D=7&tx_dkdshop%5Bproduct%5D=65).

After everyone has gone to buy their copy, could someone please come back to answer my question!  :-)

What is the best way to pay for this from overseas (I'm in Australia) without incurring bank fees (which are more than the price of the product)?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Ian.

Welcome to the CC Forum harvster! Glad to have you.

You may need to contact Cundco directly with your question. Maybe a money order would avoid such fees?
I find it difficult to buy from there unless my order is very large because the shipping costs are so high.

Thanks for your advice, a money order looks to be a much better option!  Mind you, if Cundco has a PayPal account it would make things even simpler and more direct.  I will ask them.

I hear you!  In this case it looks like have improved on their shipping costs.  On the final page before committing to the order, Cundco had a breakdown of their shipping rates for international orders.  Under €10 they charge €3.95 (can't remember the rest), which seems quite reasonable compared to the ridiculous prices some places charge!

The School is great fun. I hope you enjoy it.

CundCo provide excellent service. I bought my copy from them and it was a very quick delivery. I'm in Australia too and my memory is that the shipping costs were very reasonable too.

Welcome to the forums harvster... It's great to see other Australian Carcassonne players here.

At the CundCo Shop we have a new article:

Carcassonne Zaehltafel "Magneto" (http://www.cundco.de/shop/?tx_dkdshop%5Bcategory%5D=1&tx_dkdshop%5Bproduct%5D=162)

Carcassonne scoringboard "Magneto"

included 10 magnets (size - normal follower) -
colours standard: yellow, blue, red, green, black, grey
colours special: orange, brown, pink, white

Price: 24,99 EUR
-----------------------------

My own thoughts:
There are no magnets for the Mini "The Robbers" and also not "The Messagers".

That scoringboard might come in handy, takes less space on the table and gives all player a better overview of their position on the score track. Yet I feel that the price 24,99 euro is a bit too high (even a few euro's more than the base game)...

Harvster, I ordered the School along with several other things to Australia. I payed by PayPal. There service was pretty good, but there was a huge hold-up in Australian customs because the cookie cutters were declared as kitchen appliances and they thought they might be knives, they were going to charge us $120 for opening them up to check that the package was safe.

I also like the idea of a magnetic scoreboard, but can't justify the price. I might design my own and repaint some magnets.

What?!!  I suppose it does include the word "cutters" (and who knew box cutters could be so bad) but...  Well done on convincing them not to charge you.  $120.  That's amazing.
Do wooden spoons qualify as kitchen appliances?  :-)

I would ask the sender to specify them more clearly. The guys at CundCo did the best they could... just didn't imagine it would cause more than a month delay.

Who would?!  But makes for a great story now!  :-)  I'm still trying to work out why it costs $120 to open up what I would imagine to be a small package that probably didn't even weigh enough to be carrying knives...

We ordered a lot because all the members of our Carc group wanted something. So it was a decent size box.... It still baffles me though

Exactly, they are a pat on the back and attaboy for doing a good turn for the site community or a member in particular (which improves community health). You can find the "[give merit]" link right below the member's avitar.

On that basis Carcking, thanks for all the help you've previously (most of that was a couple of months ago), along with now, that you've given me!

In fact there's a number of people on this site that I have some helpful interaction with.  Including working on resolving some questions about castles along with scoring points and collecting gold.  :-)

Awesome.  Thanks kettlefish!  I just placed my order for the white meeples.  I'll have to wait on the natural, since I also needed to get The School, and adding that and both meeple sets would have put me over 10 Euros and into the expensive shipping category.  Hopefully it is not a limited run (limited time only) on the natural meeples...

I post here the articles with short description in English.
In the last week they put many new articles in their shop,
I will post the information in the next days.

In the next time Z-man Games will have some articles from the CundCo Shop in their ZMG-Shop.

I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what the obvious reason is - apparently it's not that obvious.

I use Google Chrome with the Google Translate extension, and I highly recommend both of them. It translates most web pages automatically and replaces the text right on the page, which is much more user-friendly than copy-pasting the address of the page (or text from the page itself) to the Google Translate web site. The only remaining problem is text within images, which Cundco uses in a few places (like the shopping cart).

If you can wait a few weeks, Z-Man Games will be selling most of the same stuff on their web site in January or February.

It seems to indicate that it is larger 30x22cm. The one I have is little smaller than that. Either way it doesn't look big enough to me

Definitely too expensive to buy full-sized expansions via Cundco.de. If you want to get the expansion for about $21.00, go to Amazon.de. You don't have to pay VAT, which lowers the price, and shipping is not at all unreasonable. Carcking and I have both ordered through them. They even have a convenient conversion system so you don't have to pay a conversion fee.

At the CundCo Shop you can also buy figures like the shepherd.

Please use
1. Ersatzteile (klein) (http://www.cundco.de/shop/?tx_dkdshop%5Bcategory%5D=4&tx_dkdshop%5Bproduct%5D=99)

If you need a set of a figure, for example 6 shepherds in all new special colors:
Please use
2. Ersatzteile (gross) (http://www.cundco.de/shop/?tx_dkdshop%5Bcategory%5D=4&tx_dkdshop%5Bproduct%5D=100)

Hello everybody !

Small question about this small expansion The Wind Rose:

http://www.cundco.de/shop/?tx_dkdshop[category]=1&tx_dkdshop[product]=171

I thought that cundco were selling the one with the 4 directions (N/S/W/E) but it seems like this one is the one from Spielbox.

Do you know where it's possible to buy the one with 4 directions ?

Thanks in advance !

Actually, I looked this very same topic and I found this from Kettlefish (on page 3, same link to the shop)

- WindRoses                 4,99 EUR
  version HiG/CoT with N,S,W,O - O = E
6 landscape tiles included one new starting tile, rules in German

So I guess I'll wait for her confirmation :) but thanks anyway
