I did it in GODOT Game engine, because I want to export to APK (android). I have no experience with any before, so I choose GODOT (open source, multiplatform, export to more platforms
. I did it from scratch. There are few changes against original game (points for features, and expansion is optimalized to my "tetris game" :-) ). But I think is not bad :-)
Thanks.
If you not having fun main game, you can try adventures ;-)

I am having fun with all the modes ;) The game is very good and fun.
I was just curious because I sometimes program for fun too.

Official Rules / Re: The Tower - Prisoner's Ransom

Ah, thank you both for answering!  ;D It kind of makes sense, because hoarding prisoners would be OP. I still find weird that they enphatize so much that there is no negotiation for meeple exchange, and leave this like that, like, why phrase the same idea differently... ???

Awesome game, smoula. And its amazing that youve already added expansions. If you dont mind me asking, did you directly program it in JavaScript from scratch, or did you use some engine?

Official Rules / The Tower - Prisoner's Ransom
« on: November 09, 2020, 01:29:39 AM »
Hi,

I have this doubt about how paying the ransom works with towers: does the player holding the prisoner have to accept it?

On one hand, if you have captured, it makes sense to retain for as long as you want (or until the other player captures one of your followers), and reducing the follower's available amount can give an advantage that is more noticeable than a 6-point difference.
But what confuses me is the rules' phrasing (I have also checked clarifiations on WikiCarpedia): it is clear that the follower exchange is mandatory, and clarifications say that there cannot be negotiation. I understand that, what I dont get is if accepting the ransom is mandatory. While the exchange is stated to be immediate, the ransom is not, so it suggests (at least what I first thought) that you can reject it. However, the rules dont really tell that you can do that, in either case, it would be indicated by omission, which I find confusing: either accepting is not mandatory, because they did not say that is mandatory; or you do have to accept it, because there is no "legal framework" that allows for rejection.

In any case, if you want to tell your house ruling and interpretations, Id like to hear those too (I think we all come to the Carcassonne forum for hearing about Carcassonne, after all  ;)).

The tile is not in the webshop yet so cannot be added to the shopping cart... We'll have to wait for a few more days to be able to add it to an order.
Ah, I see. Thank you!

The Spiel.digital section of Cundco is not empty anymore, there is the new Juniot now. Can we get the tile yet (or anymore, in case we have missed it)?

It seems the blog page was updated recently without altering the initial posting date.

I didn't recall this comment from earlier visits, so I tried to access an earlier version with web.archive.org and you can see this comment wasn't there as of April 2017:

This is the paragraph you are mentioning:

Lamentablemente en estos momentos no quedan unidades en stock tanto en la web de Swan Panasia como en Smiling Monster Games Shop, siendo el resto de alternativas que tienen sobres a la venta bastante costosas. Esperemos que esta situaciĆ³n sea meramente transitoria y pronto vuelvan a poner nuevas unidades a la venta.

Unfortunately they are currently out of stock on both the Swan Panasia website and the Smiling Monster Games Shop. Other available sites selling sleeves are rather too expensive. We hope that this is just a temporary issue and they are back on stock soon.

Oh, thanks for the info! I hadnt noticed it was an edit... That means is more likely they have been discontinued :( . On the other hand, despite being square and supposedly fit to the milimeter, even after cutting the extra part, they had empty spaces (and only on two sides, weird), so they wasn't a perfect option. Definetly I'm not using the bag anymore, but I think there may exist a better way to preserve our tiles, we just haven't found it yet.

Hi,

I have one question about the sleeves' avaibility. Malasyan page aside, are they made sporadically, or can we consider them discontinued? On a Google search I found this blog post (in Spanish: https://carcassonneblog.wordpress.com/tag/carcassonne-sleeves/), saying that they were not made anymore, and it is from 2016, but I have seen some on some shops (not anymore) around last year. I think its weird they'd stop making them, considering they are good for C2, too.
