Carcking 154 - Khalid 130 Khalid held the lead for much of the game as we fought back and forth for the big city in the southwest. Dragon play became relevant for the city. I sacrificed a follower trying to glom on in order to draw the dragon one space away from Khalid's only follower in the city. So for the moment the city was empty. I was then lucky enough to get right back in and was able to defend. Then I was lucky enough to draw the tiles I needed to close it. I was able to get an early lead on the big farm and was able to defend it throughout the game. Thanks for the good game Khalid!

Well, it was my second online-game and in real-life, I don't play with the towers very often. So I have no problem to admit, that it was me! ;-)
Just joshing with you. Please don't take offense. We are both Princesses. How will it feel when you crush me into the Carcassonne map? haha

Looks like a good game, I wish I'd played now. Shame about the mistakes with the Towers but I think most of us have been there and done the same thing at least once or twice (I certainly have anyway)!
Who was Chuck? Was he Carcking?
Haha - no offense to "Chuck" but I wouldn't jump in and admit to that score

Those are 3 seperate roads
This is just absurd. Why draw it like that if they wanted three roads? How would they propose drawing the artwork if they did want one road? (scratching my head) If JCZ has it as three roads there aught to be a checkbox option to have it be one road. Like the pig herd tile.

The rules for the Plague say that "a flea token may never be placed on a plague source tile" p.177 CAR 7.4 (emphasis mine)
When an outbreak is eradicated and the Outbreak token is turned to its field side, using the rule above, it means that the magic portal can be used to claim a feature on the outbreak tile and be safe from the plague for the rest of the game!
My copy of the English rules states that "Flea chips may never be placed on Outbreaks!" Then in the next section afterward it states "Once no Fleas are left in the supply at the start of a player's turn, the Outbreak with the lowest visible number is eliminated - that is, it is turned over to show the Field." (my emphasis) Since the Outbreak is eliminated you could easily logic that once it's flipped over it's no longer a source for the plague. It's time has come and gone. The CAR also states that "the player may not deploy a follower" p.175 when the outbreak tile is first placed but says nothing about subsequent placement e.g. once it is a latent outbreak.
This one is harmless enough I think. My copy says you "cannot place a Follower on that turn." It says nothing about placing Followers on that tile on later turns, and also does not limit you playing special figures on your turn.

...I always will consider that three-prong road a continuous Road. No feature separates it, so therefore it is continuous. No amount of official clarification from Hans im Glück will change my mind on that.
I may have missed something...was there a clarification that stated this was three roads and not one?

Did you have this custom made jb? Or coincidentally did it already have your initials?

If you click on Forum (between Home and Help) upper menu bar, you get to the forum main page. Scroll down all the way to the bottom you'll find "Carcassonne Central - Info Center" there is a link to view the most recent posts newest first.
This is what I use almost exclusively, but it only goes back 10 pages. No access to archive beyond that

I have all three, and we do use them (cringe when they come out). Because the Siege tiles have intact walls, we use them to restore Besieged cities. (Our house rule: A Siege tile can negate a Besiege tile, and protect the city if it's alone in the city, but the Siege tile alone cannot add points to the city.) Anyway, we almost never play one without the other.

I own them both. I got CC 1 waayyy back sometime. If I didn't have CC 2 (or 1 for that matter) it would bother my completionist side. I would likely consider paying up to $24 for it, which would be $4 a tile. BTW, the compleitionist side of me is on edge every time we include one of the rarities in a game. I feel like I want to sleeve them all.

So I think I'll just keep playing blissfully with Carcassonne I and its many expansions, and ignore the existence of Carcassonne II. +1 to this jb. My sentiments exactly.
