Author Topic: Games Quarterly Expansion - how to recognize the tiles after a game (Read 4918 times)

Hello,

I just ordered the 12 tiles from the Games Quarterly Expansion for what seems to me a fair price. (one step closer to full completionism, haha) Now I realise the tiles don't have a special mark like most of the other expansions. How do you sort them out in an easy way at the end of the game? Any thoughts?

I have 2 answers for you.

1. I leave them in the base game. We never, ever play the game without the GQ 11 expansion.

2. My T&B doesn't have the water marks. I have a paper with the tiles printed on it, so I pull out any water marked tiles from other expansions first, then I pull out the ones matching the tiles on my paper. Everything else is the base game.

But i guess that's the only way.
Or maybe I could mark the C-side with a little dot...we always draw our tiles from a bag so that won't interfere the game...

Just leave them in the base game. It is 5 more turns in a 2 player game. Not a big deal.

Plus the FFFF tile can be a godsend or the worst tile ever depending on what expansions you are playing with.

It's easy - if it's not a tile from the base game...it's a GQ11 tile.

You'll learn to recognize them in time for what they are. For me, I sort out the watermarked tiles, then you're only left with base game and GQ11 tiles. Most are easy to distinguish. Oh, and I also keep mine in a tuckbox where I show a picture of the GQ11 tiles for reference.

This is my solution: I printed G letters on adherent transparent round labels.

I photocopied the 12 tiles onto an A4 sheet of paper. After each game the 12 tiles are found and placed on the A4 paper and then put away in the plastic wallet.

Tiles do not have any writing on them
