Lots of good hauls here!

@Sinscerly - The Castle is my favourite Spin-Off, hope you enjoy it!

@Franks, Another amazing haul, I've held off from El Grande because it reportedly sucks at 2p, but probably from the same people that think Carcassonne and 7W suck at 2 players.  I'm sure it'll be fun!  I really really like Onirim and it's overall aesthetic design, so I hope you find it engaging too, especially when you add the expansions in the box.

BTW, the 2 impossible to find promos for Onirim (and the Sylvion Promo) are on the Zman webstore currently, you might want to grab them for a complete set :D

We know you love Marco too - looking forward to a review on that!

@flipshot, hope you enjoy the Tower, I suspect you'll find a Tower and some tiles!

I've not shared any post in a long time....mainly because I dont get much Carcassonne stuff any more  :'(

But I took a leaf out of JungleBoy's book and got a few things:

The bowls have not disappointed. In fact my wife wants one of the small black ones for her drop-spindal...shame the Kickstarter ended this morning  :'(

Decar, thanks for the tip! I ordered the promos. Shipping was a bit steep but its ok with all the money I 'saved' from the 'used' Onirim set ::)  ;D

Yeah! As mentioned, El Grande is intended for the game group, I won't even attempt it at home with two!

Wanna play Carc? Can we add just one more expansion?

In the course of functioning on the forum I bought many expansions and accessories, which I did not share here but now after six months without any purchase I made so many moves that it's going to be April Madness' ...and I am so excited that all my acquisitions will be shown here for sure :)
To be continued...

I played The City, a couple of times on a German game's website.  It's a pretty good implementation to check the rules before trying to play.  All of the action cards are a little over-powered imho.

Yesterday I received in the mail:

Carcassonne Big Box 6 (2017)
Carcassonne Exp 4 The Tower
Splendor
Cities of Splendor
Stone Age
Stone Age Casinos & Russian Railroads Mini Expansion (combo pack)

As I don't have Russian Railroads and can't find an English copy for a reasonable price, I am fine selling/giving it away. I'm hoping it gets reprinted... especially if nobody is interested in the mini-expansion who already owns it.

I'm still waiting on 2 more packages:

Package 1 from Cundo:
Carcassonne: The Fruit Trees
Carcassonne: The Markets of Leipzig
Carcassonne: 13 Translucent Meeples of Different Colors
A bag for tiles (Big Box does not contain one)
Carcassonne: Blank Tile Sheets (12 Tiles) [x3]
Stone Age: The Mammoth Herd

Package 2 from Miniature Market:
Skyliners
Days of Steam
Days of Steam: Locomotives Expansion
Sheriff of Nottingham
Sheriff of Nottingham: Merry Men Expansion
Gentlemen Thieves
San Juan (2nd Edition)

I will post pictures when I get time
My CARC2 homemade expansions:
SUMMER GINGERBREAD MAN.

This came "in the post" to someone at work, and was then passed to me earlier this week at my leaving "do". Had a first run-through game (2-player) at home today which took all afternoon, but I'm sure it'll get quicker now we have a better idea what we're doing.

Great to see wolnic!  Happy retirement btw!  I hope youve got absolutely nothing planned!

That's a great parting gift.  We played this recently for the first time and we both really enjoyed it. It's a novel refresh on worker placement, plus vikings and raids!

I'd recommend you watch Rodney Smiths playthrough and give it a go.  The expansions are on sale on the publisher's website for another week during their kickstarter campaign.

There's room for some interesting mods too!

Thanks, Decar. No, nothing [major] planned, other than a list as long as my arm of Carc tiles to finish off and/or update (Stone Circles for CarcII using the stones on the Shrine tiles, Sailing The Seas for CarcII, finish the New Forest rules (reminded recently by Jan Groot about these), some coastal forest tiles, and a bunch of other stuff) ... and then there's the garden to whip into shape now the snow is (hopefully) behind us ... but this should still leave plenty of time for walks, going out for lunch, theatre, music recitals, baking bread, more gaming, etc. etc. In other words, all the stuff you never have enough time to do when you're working ...

I'd played Champions of Midgard with the work colleague who bought RotNS for me, which I enjoyed, but there was no point in us both having the same game, and I didn't have a "worker placement" type game at home. I'm thinking about at least one of the expansions while it's available. I watched Rahdo's full run through a few weeks ago, so that was a good grounding for me, and my wife watched a couple of others, including Rodney's.

And meeples with horned helmets - who can resist?

I've not tried either expansion yet but I think the one with Jarls adds the most.  For the expansions I'd recommend watching: solomode games video. Though it's a runthrough of the up and coming solo automa deck he shows the mechanics of each expansion very very well.  Make sure you check out garphill game's website!

Looking forward to hearing your opinions and how it compares to the genre classic LoWD!

Don't have LoWD, nor played it, so can't compare. Might be able to compare to Midgard though. Fields of Fame expansion was the one I thought might add most (including the 5th player, if nothing else), and might consider getting the solo variant when it comes out.

From the chit chat on this forum, I found my way to Kickstarter a couple of months back.  At the moment I'm backing Architects of the West Kingdom, and from that I was introduced to the North Sea Trilogy.  I ordered the whole set - Shipwrights, Raiders + Fields of Fame + Hall of Heros, Explorers and the Runesaga.  Rocks of Ruin is also on order.

So far the other half and I have only played Shipwrights, and instead of speeding up, we're taking longer!  Last night, 1 game took an hour and half ... we are getting more choosy as to which ships we build.  I've pretty much taught myself how to play Raiders and shall try and teach him over the weekend.

Anyways, just wanted to say another thank you to all you guys ... I'm Mandy and live on the Sussex coast.

I love playing games, but the OH not so.  Carcassonne was the first game I got him to play about 10 years ago, although we've played Scrabble for 30+ years.
